Maybe in some years there will be players who will refuse to play for NSW even though they're born and bred in NSW because they always supported Qld. Atleast Folau and Inglis were eligible for Qld.

On top of that, at game 2 I was sitting next to the Qld supporters. More than half were kiwis. I doubt there were all from Qld.

Im in the minority but Origin doesnt do much for me, would rather see a winner take all one off game. Would almost rake in as much revenue as 3 games I reckon (apart from crowd revenue obviously)

Kiwis love league and love to support the "underdog", having so many of them turn out in Maroon makes sense given thats the image they like to project. I would never begrudge a foreign national choosing to support 1 state or another if they have a genuine affinity for them, after all we want our game to grow beyond these shores and drawing them in via SOO is the best way.

As for NSWelshmen supporting Qld, well I distain them as much as the next but in my time up here I have met plenty of the reverse. As long as you make your choice and stick, not change year by year, then I will treat you no different than any other supporter.

The injury to Thurstan was unfortunate, but it could have happened in any club game and if it had happened to a Dragon I would probably have been pissed.

But Origin will never be dead. Qld can win as many as they like and I will still support NSW

It doesn't make it all that appealing to Western Australians, Victorians or even Europeans to want to play Steeden, as the pinnacle is NSW v Qld!!!!!!

TBH I dont give two shits about SOO anymore, what a waste of time. Players should just focus on their club and try and WIN a premiership, which is more important then SOO. If one the players from the dragons where injured during the series, I would be devastated. I feel sorry for the cowboys, their season is most likely over now.

I think that both the NRL and SOO should be canceled, so we can bring back the World Sevens without having to worry about players getting injured.
