Oh right cause we're completely competitive with the AFL...
I hate that sport but I think a lot of League fans stick their head in the sand.

My head's not in the sand, but to be quite fair to RL, it completely dominates the two biggest markets in Australia - NEW SOUTH WALES & ACT (pop 7.1m) and QUEENSLAND (pop 4.1m). AFL has it's paws on Melbourne (pop 3.8m) and Adelaide (pop 1.1m), as well as Perth (pop 1.5m). It's important to note that RL's hold stretches well beyond capital city support in both states, while AFL fanatacism is focussed on clubs that are all based in cities elsewhere in Australia.

Even in it's limited focus in terms of number of states, the exposure RL is entitled to in NSW and QLD alone is priceless.

But that's just it,League completely owns AFL in it's strong areas and AFL completely owns League in it's areas.
So both are at a standoff and at this stage the AFL is taking the initative to strike next and get the upperhand(though risky).

If the NRL can move the GF and get a sell out regardless of the location that's a huge advantage for the sport and is something I don't think the AFL would even consider,NRL fans should be looking at it that way.

The ARL takes Tests and Origin games down to Melbourne regularly whilst the AFL does sfa besides talk about NSW and QLD.

Exactly. RL is in a far stronger position and made moves long ago to stretch it's reach beyond it's own backyard... the AFL have entrenched themselves in the popularity of the club comp and as a result will suffer IMO.

AFL regional teams: Geelong

NRL refgional teams: North Queensland, Gold Coast, Newcastle, St George Illawarra, Canberra. Throw in the Central Coast Bears and I'd safely say we have all the most important regions covered.

Why not make use of 3D holographic technology and "broadcast" the game live onto the field at Suncorp Stadium and Telstra Dome in Melbourne? Just think we could sell out three stadia at the same time.

Depends if the enormous cost of holographic technology could be offset by a full stadium...

I'M not lazy, Sydney fans like YOU are! lmao, if I manage to get to Newcastle, Campbelltown, Gosford, Brisbane, Townsville and Canberra just to name a few, why can't you?
Where do you live? Is there somewhere in NSW that doesn't have public transport? Can you not drive? what's the issue making you stay home yet demand the GF remains a Sydney event? One that don't even support???

How's bout you get in the kitchen and make me a sammich! Or can you not leave your armchair for that either?

First of all, let me remind you I'm not a Sydney resident.

Secondly, I don't have a job that takes me to my team.

Thirdly, if you reckon league fans are lazy for not travelling all over the friggin south pacific, and instead choosing to have a mortgage, you are dumber than I thought. Which would be quite difficult.

Fourthly, I won't tell you where I live. I prefer to get crabs from a fish co-op.

I know where you live you gormless fool! Someone already pointed out that you live in the boondocks and can't afford to travel. My heart bleeds. No really.

Yes. Blood will be found on seats at Errickson, Dairy Farmers and Bluetongue.

Just a quick question - when you edit a post, do you use liquid paper?

No stoopid. Blood will be found pouring from your scrote after i get jiggy with my axe.

Here's a quick question for you, do you ever wonder what it would be like if you'd had more oxygen at birth?

Don't you mean jiggy FROM you axe? Do you use the blunt end, or the sharp end?

Anyway, why am I conversing with a self proclaimed lazy Sydney fan? Lockyno1 knock you back - again?
