got a letter from centrelink that pretty much makes everything more difficult then it already is

Please explain? I might be able to help you out a bit.

With fulltime courses available and easy to access online people on unemployment benefits from Centrelink would be much better off just signing up for any sort of course. You get a lot less hassle from the government and you learn a skill while still getting the bucks. It's what I did when I used to be on it.

That's certainly one way to do, have you looked at that option, Rhino?

I do know that my payment goes up when I turn 21 (Next month) and then again in July when "I'm out of home", which is good - will give me more money for overseas (Not that I'll spend a lot, food is paid for and I have no fuel or board to pay).

Professional Students?

Some courses are lazy (I know people who do minimal work, never turn-up and still get benefits), but some are much larger and demand a lot of time. My course demands 45-50hrs a week. That's basically a full-time job on it's own.

This afternoon's joke:

I got home and found the missus had left a post-it note on the fridge saying
"It's no good, it's not working, I'm staying at mums for a while"

I opened it, the light came on, the beer was well chilled.

Dunno what she was on about!

The photo makes her body look disproportionately small.

Wait, wait... wait. I don't get it. What does she mean?!

I think she's trying to make a philosophical argument that sunsets have no meaning if there's no god.

More likely scenario:

Skip to around 1:39 for the good bit, or just watch the first 2.5 mins or so.

Tide goes in, tide goes out. You can't explain that!

It's not so much a philosophical argument rather a typical (creationist) argument from ignorance (of science, usually). I don't know why the sun sets so God did it.

I almost feel like divorcing myself from American Christians such is my frustration with them sometimes... They make Fred Nile look progressive and scholarly FFS.

To be honest I don't think the atheist in the video is anything special either. Still...

America. You can't explain that!
