All you experienced flyers, does anyone have a recommendation when picking out of Qantas and Virgin? Assuming times are a non issue and the fares are more or less the same.

With so much in the news in recent months about plane crashes I feel like I'm having a sliding doors moment. There was a Singapore Airlines flight just a few miles behind MH17. What if I pick the wrong one out of Qantas and Virgin?

Or maybe I'm just being a big drama queen.

Probably the drama queen bit. You forget you're flying in Aus, mate. The worst that will happen to you is you'll get diverted to Avalon.

Take Alan Joyce out of Qantas and they will improve ten-fold. They have the capacity to be in the top 10 airlines in the world (Which they previously were), but have since dropped off given their financial slump.

Are you high? Eat like a king for about $25 a day. Accommodation cheaper than Australia, a ticket from one end of the MRT to the other is about.$5. Hell I'm heading to the zoo and it's half the price of.Taronga
Incredibly expensive? Compared to Phuket it's somewhat expensive, compared to Sydney or Melbourne it's very cheap.
