Given you have never lived, nor worked, in Inner Sydney, I don't think you're quite qualified to answer that dear Hoppity ;-) For all of Melbournes positives, there's something irresistible about Sydney.

I was born in Liverpool and spent half my childhood in Sydney.

Sydney isn't all bad. It has its positives. I'll happily visit for holidays every now and then while I spend the next 50 years living in Melbourne.
