You need a man.
time to lower those standards!
how do you feel about a 5'4 Frenchman?

I could show you quiet a time,
Me + You + Mini Garlic Snails + Lemon Marinated Frogs Legs,
Walking along the French Riviera...

If you accept you must fly the French flag in your signature as a sign that you now belong to the empire.

Français your answer,
Napoleon Bonaparte.

Napoleon was 5'7" which was average height at the time. It was the British media that depicted him as being short.

That's pretty much on to it, but surely Oh Errol and your other media work is quite fulfilling? You don't see many people that get to do what you do for a living, and by the sound of it you're not exactly doing it for money either. I would have thought that in itself would be enough of a "void filler". To me it looks like your career is based on passion over the "easy" path, and that is something you should at least be proud of. But yeah, maybe you do have other issues that need confrontation. e.g. Body image? I don't really understand how this sh*t works for girls but it's always puzzled me, because I see a lot of really beautiful girls just like yourself who have that same issue. Makes me want to go out and find as many pictures of ugly unattractive girls, ram it down their throat and say "YOU SEE THIS, THIS IS UGLY. YOU ARE NOT, NOW SHUT UP AND BE HAPPY". I dunno, my only advice is to just say "f**k what everyone else thinks" but that works for me because I'm a complete misanthrope. Maybe you should see a professional? I'm not trying to sound like a dick here, but if it's bugging you that much then maybe some sort of counselling or some visits to a psychologist would help? There's no shame in doing so, much better than letting it grab control of you.

It was about that.... I asked him and Hamish and Andy if they had the chords or a tab for the song, and he replied he pretty much made it up on the spot.

p.s. Did you hear his version of the song went to number 1 on Australian Itunes for around an hour the other day?

yep :( i am horrified. i think the booze is just so bad for me. i drink because i'm insecure and insane and the only time those thoughts go away is when i'm smashed.

i need to find a way to relax and 'not think' that doesn't involve booze.

any suggestions guys? i'm at the end of my rope

So your not gonna tell us? Boooooo

To relax, wind down, take your mind out of your own life - video games or reading or both. Become a nerd, its great fun :)

Otherwise just keep busy, friends, work, exercise, study.

Holy sh*t Kik's, thats a cry for help if I've ever heard one. I think you may have some serious self esteem and depression issues that may need to be addressed by a professional.

That post sounds like you are 3/4's of the way down the path towards alcoholism and thats some serious sh*t. I don't know how close you are to your GP but I honestly think you should go and have a quiet chat to him/her and seek some suggestions. I know that most people think they are only good for dealing with colds and flu and trivial illness but they are actually a pretty good place to start with emotional and mental health issues as well. They will steer you in the right direction.

Oh and btw, sooner or later you'll need to drop the booze. It'll force you to confront your issues rather than sweeping them under the carpet. I seriously think you should get some professional help though. Don't be ashamed about it or anything silly like that. Most people suffer some sort of an addiction or depression through their life. I've been down both paths and come out the other side and I'm not ashamed to admit it. But seriously, get some professional advice. It'll make things easier in the long run.

On drinking - I'm with DKOR. You should never drink to avoid serious issues. You should drink to cause serious issues.

But yeah, maybe take some time off the drink

Good call with the GP. The advantages would be that they're cheaper, they can determine what sort of help you actually need and can also recommend you to a good psychiatrist or psychologist if you need that sort of help. Only thing to watch out for is if they want to put you on medication, i'm not sure if a GP would but I know there's a bit of a trend with Doctors and Psychiatrists overmedicating depression, when what people really need to do is face their demons. Medication is good if the source of your depression is purely chemical, but for most people it isn't. This is where psychologists are better than psychiatrists (Says he who has just finished his psychology degree ) because they take a non-medical view of the brain, and tend to avoid treating depression with medication, whereas a psychiatrists is a doctor for your brain. They take a medical view of your brain, and usually tend to prescribe drugs to fix stuff. Just my 2c.

awww thanks Martli for typing that all out!

i do have so many issues that i need to address. i think i just try to ignore them but it doesnt work.

also yes my work is a passion thing and it means so much to me. i think i need to apply the same motivation and passion to other areas of my life. that might be the key.
