Gym is a bitch. While I'm doing it I feel good, feel positive, but actually mustering the energy/motivation/inspiration to go is the hard part.

Diet is a bitch to control as well, it's so easy to eat shit and even easier to be confused by what's good for you and what isn't these days. Everything seems to be "bad for you"... or at least anything good for you is needlessly expensive.

I found that for me my diet hasn't changed a lot. I cut out total junk like maccas, cut out soft drink and run 20-30km a week in four or five gym sessions. A little weights thrown in and I went from 96kg to 84kg in three months

If such a thing existed in this universe, my wife would currently be in the woman's version of the doghouse. She changed the CD while I was driving. This is unforgiveable.

I could never cut Coke out of my diet. Best I can do is drink Coke Zero to at least cut down my kilojoule intake. I don't drink alcohol or tea or coffee, so Coke it is. Everyone needs some sort of poison.

And the road becomes my bride
I have stripped of all but pride
So in her I do confide
And she keeps me satisfied
Gives me all I need

And with dust in throat I crave
Only knowledge will I save
To the game you stay a slave

Roamer, wanderer
Nomad, vagabond
Call me what you will

TBH - given my diet, i'm surprised im not a crazy obese teenager. Mind you ive still got a bit of fat on me, but right now i'm under 75kgs so i'm still chillin like a villain.

I like to do HIIT on a stationery bike btw. Might not be as effective as running but it's much much more enjoyable.

Cutting out ALL liquid calories (Except the odd alcoholic beverage which I limit to spirits in clear mixers and tea) and most processed foods including bread pretty much did the trick for me.

Dat metabolism Monk.

I remember this mate of mine from high school would eat a ridiculous amount of food, more than anyone else and was such a lazy little merkin yet was skinny as a rank.

I really enjoy the discipline that comes with diet & exercise. Maybe it's from all those years of being a nerd and playing RPGs but I just like seeing the improvement in myself and that satisfaction when not only complete a goal but a few weeks later you just absolutely smash it.

An ex of mine, who is my best friend, used to get hit by her BF. I knew nothing about it until one day he threw her off a balcony, broke her arm and some ribs. She didn't tell me what happened at first but when she did I drove to Adelaide to see her. He tried to get into her place but he didn't expect me there. He didn't have anywhere to run. Scum, total scum

I'm not a violent man. Not by any stretch. I actually have a very high tolerance and am a pretty patient guy. It takes a lot to push me over the edge, but violence against Women is one thing I feel extremely strongly about. If it were against a Woman I knew personally, I take that as a personal insult and the fact that this douche was violent with the Woman I love... Essentially I see that as akin to being violent to me. It burns my piss just thinking about the fact that this guy still walks the earth and has never faced any retribution for his actions. Even worse, I think that he may well be doing the same things to another Woman / other Women.

Should I ever get a hold of him, I just want to let him know that what he is doing is wrong.

As a former fatty I can attest to theory that it takes a good 2 weeks before the excercise bug really kicks in. It takes a while for your body to break the old s**tty habits that have been ingrained into you for years of poor nutrition and exercise.

Just got to put your head down and get through it.

this is encouraging. i normally waiver around the 7-10 day mark

its a shame because there are a lot of areas i can make easy yards if i persevere
