I'm going to put my hand up now and declare myself to be a pretentious hater - although I'm not indie.

Limp Bizkit suck, so do slipknot. Woeful.

And anyone that goes to SW and doesn't see Devin Townsend should be shot.

That is all.

Flame away!

Overlaps with SOAD... It's a no go. Seen devin townsend a few times now, I wouldn't wanna miss a decent spot for soad.

Anyone who doesn't go see steel panther should be shot.

Just got back from Soundwave. Had a great day, I'm very burnt tho.

Saves The Day- Brilliant. great start to the day, first time I have seen them. they played their pinkerton set first which is their covers of Weezer songs. Then they got down to the STD stuff and it was great, perfect setlist. The f**kwits waiting for Steel Panther on the other stage were being dicks and booing them the whole time and chanting for steel panther, show some f**king respect. 8.5/10

Unwritten Law- Great stuff, thought they may have lost it, but they ripped. Started off with older stuff and finished with newer stuff, was a good setlist. 7.5/10

Lostprophets- Can't really comment too much, coz I saw the end of them while waiting around, they were alright I suppose. 4/10

Alter Bridge- Listened while waiting for ADTR. Were a pretty terrible band. 2/10

A Day To Remember- Very fun, I love this band so it was easy for me to enjoy but some people said they expected more from them. I had a ball tho, kept up with their usual on stage antics of tours past. 9/10

Bush- Umm were ok I guess. actually they bored me haha. They opened with Machinehead which is my fave song of theirs. they played a couple of other songs and I was bored and I left. 5/10

Street Dogs- I haven't really listened to too much of them in the past but they were very impressive, I had a good time listening to them. 7/10

Bad Religion- As great as always. Setlist could have been better but it would be hard to pick a perfect setlist with the amount of great songs they have. Still best band of the day. 9.5/10

Limp Bizkit- I'm ashamed I managed to catch some of their set. they were horrible. I remember now why I wasn't a fan of them 10 years ago when they were all the rage. Someone who was a fan might have loved it, but it def wasnt for me. 1/10

Dashboard Confessional- Just caught the end of them, f**k that guy has an amazing voice. They were enjoyable enough, 6/10

Thursday- So much energy put into their set, I loved it! By then I was so f**king tired, but I pushed on and I'm glad I did. Fantastic show, shame it will be their last. 8.5/10

Framing Hanley- heard them while i was sitting around in between Thursday and Strung Out, a little boring, it was ok for what it was I guess. 5/10

Strung Out- By now I wanted to go home, but they were good in spots, but they sounded a little out of tune in other spots. Not a bad setlist. Great band either way. 8/10

The few standouts for me were Black Dahlia murder and Gojira. Gojira were magnificent live, everyone around me were absolutley gobsmacked at how good they were, I have all their albums but have never been massively into them, well until today, phenomenal.

That Watain should be cut immediatley, f**king atrocious once the PA kicked in........ Which took about 5 mins but I would like the other 25 mins Of my life back.

Yep, Gojira were brilliant. Should have been higher up the bill.
Devin Townsend was the most entertaining. Small stage, only 40 minutes which was ridiculous. Great show in that 40 though.

The main events - Trivium, Mastodon, Machine Head and LOG were all great I thought.

I used Coal Chambers set as a chance to freshen up a bit. I think Dez is more at home with Devil Driver now.

I know we keep saying it, but with SW - less is more. A few less acts, but the ones there play longer!
