The last no try was inconsequential, the SBW penalty was the biggest bullshit imaginable and the Rorters got the game winning field goal out of it.

This was a f**king disgrace. He didn't even drop the ball until after the Cowboys players had cleared the ruck

Knock on everyday, some of you would like to ignore the knock on by Melbourne last week as well just so you get the big moment.

Cowboys were all set to cry conspiracy regardless of the result and they did the same thing the last two years because they are sore losers.

Sore losers once yeh, but f**king cmon 3 tight calls or f**k ups in 3 years that have ended up costing them the game. You can't blame the fans for feeling f**ked over. Unfortunate but I guess it happens

For mine the most dodgy call in the game was the penalty in the first half that lead to the Roosters' second try, when I think SBW lost the pill but it was blown up as a strip. Both Cowboys players came out of that tackle genuinely filthy that they'd been pinged while SBW sort of smirked. No replay because a quick tap was taken.

SBW got a million penaltys for dropping the ball cold tonight

Keep in mind, any of this stuff is prone to parallax error. It is never conclusive.

However, going off by your picture alone, it is a knock on.

The yellow line u drew parallel to Lui's back feet ? Lui's arm is way behind that yellow line given he reaches back to grab the ball. If this is correct, which it is as he does reach back to grab the ball, then it is indeed a knock on given the ball lands on the yellow line.

Arm/point of contact with ball is behind yellow line; ball lands on yellow line.

∴ Knock on.

I am sorry but I cannot see how that is a knock on.

The NRL wanted a Roosters vs Souths final.............it was clear from the beginning

The Cows just keep getting ripped off - they really need to finish in the top 2 to have a chance of winning

I refuse to read this thread because I know it will be full of the following:
1) crackpot Queenslanders who think the worlds against them.
2) dickheads with no idea about the game who think that a ref error in the 3rd minute of a game decides the outcome
3) wankers who think that an organisation like the NRL has a conspiracy against teams just because the result the wankers wanted didn't go their way
4) cockgobblers who call refs cheats or think that their is a fix on, again because what they want to happen didn't eventuate.
5) brain dead f**ks who think that just because Phil Gould says something it must be true despite the fact that he says things just so he can be contrary to opinion.
6) the usual LU trolls.

It was a knock on every day of the week since the game started and both the on field ref and video ref made the correct call. That it was in the 79th minute and by the cowboys is purely coincidental.

The cowboys lost the match because for the first 30 minutes their minds and bodies were still in Townsville.

The fact that it was Lui makes it karma.

Simply because using common sense and footage at normal speed suggests he extends his arms backwards past his own back feet to grab the ball, lol

How can you not knock the ball on? If the ball hits his forearm and propels forward off it, it is simply a knock on. Doesn't matter which way a player is facing

You said in your previous post that the pictures were inconclusive though? So which is it? It didn't propel forward; it was line ball at worst.

You also say that he "extends his arms backwards past his own feet to grab at the ball". On the balance of probabilities, if he is extending his arms BACK past his feet, wouldn't that cause the ball to be propelled backwards! Put it this way, if it was awarded a try then it would not have been overturned and it would have remained a try!

Knock back. Should have been a try. Cowboys shouldn't have given the Roosters a 30 point lead in the first place.

Does make for a huge game in Sydney next week - particularly now the Swans are in the AFL GF.

This is getting ridiculous. The ball hit his arm and went forward. Easy knock on call and the hysteria and bitterness from some people is quite sad and the way the newspapers are reporting it as the wrong call to feed that hysteria is pathetic and a disgrace.

Rig a game, but let the team you want to lose come back from 30-0 down, while ignoring a perfectly easy chance to award a try to the team you want to win with 5 mins to go.... Sounds legit

Spot on mate. All this hysteria reminds me of Remy Casty's double movement.
