Disappointed that we're not ready to slit our wrists over a loss to the gummies. We lost to souffs last year before going on to win the comp. It shows that a loss to a nuffy team is nothing to dwell on.

I think send off's are saved for the intentional elbows and knees to the head, and the occasional stomp

not even this, rose elbowed someone deliberately in the gf and missed a trial game or something

sends off's from bad tackles usually depend on how injured the victim is.

which shouldnt be the case but unfortunately is correct.

i've become in favour of a send off player being able to be replaced. there's so much pressure on refs to keep an even contest they're too scared to be blamed for a send off. If sent off players were able to be replaced then I think we'd see more of these incidents result in players sent off.

It will still affect the penalised team - in this example Manly as one of their players is no longer allowed to participate and they're now down a player on the bench, plus it is a benefit to the sharks who don't have to have him against them for the rest of the game

Should have been sent off if it is worthy of 10 weeks. There should have also been a send off in the Aust vs NZ game in Newcastle last year when Lockyer had an elbow put into his face while kicking. Alas sendoffs are so rare and like everything else in the game utterly inconsistent.
