This is all pretty much WTF territory. He lost his rag?
I was expecting him to be out for being charged by the police for drug offences or a rape charge or something equally dire to justfy the 'messy' and 'unfortunate' tag.

He hasn't signed up to play AFL has he?

PARRAMATTA winger Timana Tahu walked out on the NSW Origin side after a personal fallout with assistant coach and former Knights teammate Andrew Johns.

Despite the seriousness of the matter, a "shattered" Johns has not been dismissed from the camp.

It is understood that a remark that Johns said earlier in the week in Tahu's presence had offened him. He asked coach Craig Bellamy if he could leave the camp and left yesterday afternoon.

"Earlier in the camp I made some comments which Timana Tahu deemed inappropriate and offensive," Johns said.

"My comments weren't directed towards Timana, they were about myself and Timana's deemed them to be offensive and inappropriate.

"I'm really upset and shattered. We go way back. I've known him since he was a kid. Unfortunately, we had a day off yesterday and I didn't get a chance to see 'T' before he left. I've been trying to call him.

"It's a private matter between myself and him and we'll talk in the next couple of days."

Tahu has been replaced by Canberra star Joel Monaghan was rushed into the side last night. He was cleared of a thumb injury before joining the camp yesterday.

"It's something you would rather not deal with but you have to respect Timana's privact privary and his views, which we do," team manager Craig Young said. "In relation to Joey, he's very shattered. He's obviously very passionate about NSW. He'll get back on the bike today and he'll get on with it."

NSW Winger Timana Tahu sensationally walked out of the Blues State of Origin camp after taking offence to remarks made by assistant coach Andrew Johns.

A devastated Johns would not reveal what he said to former Newcastle teammate Tahu, but told reporters at the team's camp in Kingscliff in Northern NSW, that he was "shattered".

What a little bitch... Anybody notice how he almost knocked that guy out on the footy show when he was mucking around? What an uptight little merkinrag Tahu is

Timana has been offended by an individual's comment and he walks out. I'm glad he's gone if that reflects his passion for the Sky Blue jersey. FMD, that's pathetic. Timana, you're not playing for the assistant coach. You are playing for NSW. We need to beat QLD and you turn it up because you've been offended. Wow. Never to be considered for selection ever again. Simply does not possess the burning desire needed to play origin.

Cant wait to see Johns grinning mug as hes on the field laughing with teammates during their usual flogging.

NSW are in a shambles. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.

what a keyboard hero you are...

and until we know what the comment was why presume that it wasn't worth getting uptight about??

Exactly. Depending on what it was, Tahu has every right to walk out. Especially as John's is in a position of authority, as the Assistant Coach.

Call me old fashioned, but I though Assistant coaches were there to help make the team stronger, not rip it apart with divisive or offensive remarks? I can only imagine how Bellamy feels about all this. Joey Johns should resign if he has any self-respect left.

I can only imagine its race related.

It has to be. There is no other comment that would make someone just walk out.

After offensive comments were made by Assistant coach and self confessed drug user Andrew Johns. I can only imagine what was said.

That's not what you said here when you started this thread at planet Rugby is it?

What a classy bunch these Johns boys are. Matthew Johns (aka Captain Gang-bang) was dumped by Channel 9 after initiating a degrading group sex session with a young Kiwi waitress, which allegedly left her suicidal. Andrew Johns has admitted to taking Grade A drugs for the length of his career. And now this. Just shows you can take the boys out of Cessnock, but you can't take Cessnock out of the boys. I thought Assistant Coaches were supposed to help teams prepare, not tear them apart?
