In real life we'll get Alan Jones as head coach, with Paul Langmack as assistant and Terry Lamb as defensive.
No Royce Simmons?! What the hell?!

OVP, who did he coach? when?Btw Taylor was a very good NSW Cup coach.

Pretty sure he coached the Roosters to a premiership in reserve grade/nsw cup/u23s. Not 100% sure it was the Roosters but I'm pretty sure he did win a lower grade comp.
To have a debate and a interesting forum you need people who are passionate and have opposing views. It seems this forum has now shrank to a handful of faithful all of who are sitting on the same side of the fence. In the past this was a great forum, some very clever people would push the boundaries to the limit.
I am not sure why the interest has dropped off but i guess these things go in cycles. As for the other forum, there seem so be pretty to much two camps on most subjects and a couple of swingers...a bit like our up coming election.
Anyway guys just to throw a rat in the ring, I am still willing to give Taylor a crack till at least the end of the season and maybe next year. I have seen improvements, things like our goal line defence, kicking game except goal kicking and the SC department that Taylor put in place has done wonders with our injury toll. I just do not think we will ever achieve anything if we keep turning over coaches. Okay if a real top notch coach like Bellyache landed on our door step, I would say go for it, but for a Cleary or a Toovey I am not sure. I still think there are to many holes in our roster and to much inexperience and fingers crossed 2017 the worm will start to climb sharply.
Okay guys go for it I have thick skin..Iam ready for the barrage
I'm willing to give Taylor until mid 2017. I think it will be clear which direction we are heading in with him by this stage so no use sacking him now. Remeber that this is our 3rd coach since 2012.
That being said, I don't have much confidence in him. His game plan is just too predictable. How to beat the Tigers 101:
1. Run your back rowers at Brooks and Moses
2. Have your Fullback and a Winger practice taking bombs all week
3. Smash the shit out of Tedesco. Every time the ball touches his hands have someone there to crunch him
For me, I don't think it matters how many coaches we have had, if it's not working, then fix it.
For many years we have heard about how the WT's emerging talent was going to put us in the top tier of teams, it has been a complete failure.
In saying all that, we can have a team that is capable, but is never picked, why?
In the NRL (like all elite sport) winning is the only measure we should have.
IMO, Sheens was past his UBD, Potter came across as weak (probably unfair) and Taylor just doesn't have it, he probably interviewed very well but just does not have the skill set to coach & develop elite players (more probable is, they got him cheap), he reminds me so much of Brian Smith as a devisive influence on the team.
H'mm, this has become very quiet after today's game.
x 2 Tiger05I think Taylor is one of the worst coaches in the comp. We have a good bunch of players that have been underachieving due to terrible game plans and the disruptive influence that Taylor has brought to the club.
well perhaps most of us are over it, happy for a win naturally, but in regards to Taylor as a coach, well... but because I'm here, what about his standout decisions like play Halatau for 17 minutes and Farah for 63 - that 17 minutes could have been utilised by Farah and have him play for 80 with JJ Felise used from the bench.H'mm, this has become very quiet after today's game.

If we start performing from now on in I'll accept his mistakes but geez he has been a muppet.

I dont dislike JT,i just dont want the moron to be our coach
C'mon Tiger05, you know better than to play the supporter game of 'applaud to players when they win and blame the coach when they lose'. You are better than that, leave that to the other 'never laced a boot up' keyboard warriors.
I definitely don't do that. What I'm stating is that we have underperformed and we have a good squad. The coach has been a big reason for that underperformance.
I'm stoked we win. I could even handle Taylor staying coach if we continue to play good footy.
Taylor was also well in that win. We are playing much better attacking footy and I assume Taylor is pushing them to do that.
Im not sure who made you an authority on every thing and i dont think i have come across your name in the latest editions of the Big League or RLW,you do realise that to submit a post one generally has to type on a key board ?whether you agree with a post or not its only a matter of opinion ...Well do tell Mister Keyboard Warrior, who?![]()

Who you ask, well imo ... Toovey,Cleary or Folks are all better coaches then JT will ever be..:sarcasm:
