Yeah but can Leutele run sideways as good as Jono.

Not many blokes in the NRL top grade run sideways like our Jono. He is the gun

Disagree. Nearly every club has a winger/centre that crabs because they are told to centralise field position to give options both sides of the ruck.

Modern game ehh?

Got to love the clipboard thinkers think.

My opinion... he is farkkkken hopeless.

All I wanted for Christmas was a centre that knew how to find the tryline. Our leading tryscorer for 2013 was.....

Whose it going to be in 2014. I'll bet your left and right that it 'ain't' no Sharkie No3 or No4.

Ray ohhh Ray, the days of 20 tries a season. Memories.

One other thing Gallen said this morning.
I'm sure s few of you will like this.

He is only going to play 65-70 mins per game like he does for Australia .

Do you know him?

Yes he went somewhere else because he was looking out for numero uno, which is fair, he did it because he didn't feel the sharks were being serious. He wanted to stay but also wanted to further his career, he couldn't do both.

He wasn't even given any reassurance of his selection in first grade, especially with the level of back rowers we have.

Cleary and gould said, if he hits is KPI's, he'll be in first grade, that's what swayed him, can't blame him.

You don't know how much he wanted to stay, trust me on that! He still talks about it now.

^Totally agree.

Someone in my family knows him and his mates and I spoke to him direct. The above summary is exactly what feedback I got from him directly, my family member and a very close friend of his family.

I could see merit in gards and holdsworth if required. Where to defend him? Can you preston?

I would love to see Gards trialled at HB. whoever thought of playing Preston there was a genius, Lang? Difference between Presto and Gards is Presto was good at FB and reasonable on the wing. Later proved at 6 too. Nothing to lose as Gards will never play regular first grade at FB. Surely Beau ahead of him as well as Flash. Gards has the explosiveness which could be difficult to handle from HB. His backup play and runs from FB are predictable.

I can safely predict Penani will never fit our coaches stereotype. Morris will but was predictable 10 years ago at HB. Now he will prove me wrong and shred the Titans with off the cuff footy.

I think the Titans is a bad draw for us. Team we would beat at full strength. Last year was close even with all the emotion on our side and this year we have a few key players out.

Can Gards kick, can he set up his forwards & backs, can he guide the team around, can he keep a cool head under pressure.

Realistically, the answer is no to all those questions. Can't see how he could possibly work in the halves.

Gardz was ourmost creative player in the 9's. He played a half back role coming into the ruck late in the count. It was his decisions to attack that lead to long breaks or a try during the 9's.
That inside ball to Ayshford after his previous lead up work was sensational. Probably the play of the tournament.

I think the unstructured part of the nines game really suited Gards. Don't know if he'd have the organisational skills required of a halfback for a whole 80 minutes.

Im not expecting too much from Gards but am happy they are trying something other than another forward playing in the halves. Gard's speed will cause a lot of problems for the defence.

Im actually interested to see how he goes, he may be prone to a brain fart or two but he is a genuine attacking player with speed that can find the line and thats what we have all been screaming for. I hope he kills it.
