We don't want players who just do OK, though I concede the cap is supposed to (in theory) restrict all clubs overloading on talent. French and Hoffman? The benefit of hindysight is a glorious thing.

We are in an excellent position.
We have about a mill to spend and plenty off contract for 2020. I'd wait till around rnd 10 and see who becomes available. We might be able to snag 2 great players at half wage as seasons half done by teams who might be shot or a tleast arent a serious finals threat. If we are 5/10 wins and jagged two top shelf players we might go on a sneaky little run ourself.

The Parramatta Eels side to clash with the Penrith Panthers in this Saturday's pre-season trial at Panthers Stadium has been named by Blue & Gold Head Coach Brad Arthur.

In the first Battle of the West of the year, ahead of the 2019 NRL Telstra Premiership, Arthur has named a 18 man squad for the clash kicking off at 7pm.
