I haven't watched any Broncos games this year, however I note that they are still on top of the table. So I guess it's pointless me hoping they are shit. We go good against them sometimes (Ok not in Darwin). So we might win.

I qualified my statement. Waqa is a disaster, AMS was a partial disaster last week, Lumelume is a disaster too. If we get belted down that edge it will be as much a symptom of the lack of depth/planning/resources/luck as it is the selection of any given combination that currently exists within our top 30.

Well if it's so important why would you want a fresh reserve grader taking minutes off your first choice player? I mean how fatigued would Lussick have to be to be less effective than a fresh Brendan Hands? I guess we'll find out.

I'd say it means they can afford to have two of them good enough for the top 17. So no, not a coincidence but points more at resources than selections around team decisions. It seems to be a luxury the top teams can afford. Bellamy had two great dummy halves, got rid of one and now plays the other for 80 minutes. Surely he knows what he's doing? Garlick is back in the team this week but they don't seem to go any better with him than without him. Small sample, but they actually go worse.

You really have a thing against Hands don't you? It's obviously that important that your defence of Hodgson be justified.

I've said plenty of times that I think Hands has been decent. I think you overrated Hands because you desperately wanted Hodgson to fail, as though we were better off with Hands playing 80 minutes. My defence of Hodgson is justified by him starting every game he played.

I actually wanted Hodgson to succeed.

But all evidence pointed to the signing being a failure and that evidence proved correct. It was madness to think otherwise, but I still hoped to be proven wrong.

Every signing is a risk. Lane has also been hampered by injury this year. He has played fewer games than Hodgson. It happens. It doesn't mean we shouldn't have re-signed him.

Defending alongside Paulo isn't easy. In fact I'd say it's difficult. Ofahengaue and Lussick are good options to partner him at the start of the game.
