*not guilty

Which makes your happiness about it on the nose, and premature.
If he’s innocent, sure yeehaw away. But if he’s just not guilty because there’s not enough evidence, that’s not the same thing as innocent

Mate, if he is found not guilty of this alleged crime and like I said no new evidence is thrown in the mix, then sorry most reasonable people will think that he indeed had done nothing or at least nothing to find him guilty of in a court of law.

No one is saying that Brown is a saint, but we are talking about a mans life and reputation here and you maybe happy to jump at tarring him with a suspicion brush, but that's you. I on the other hand want real evidence before I make the assumption that he got off not because he did nothing, but only because there was no evidence.

You and I weren't there, so we wouldn't have a clue what went down. What if this lady is a nutter(not saying that she is), but what if she is? Or maybe she gave him mixed signals, who knows? How many times have people who are in the public eye been stitched up by members of the public? Maybe they were being mutually friendly towards each other and Brown, under the influence of alcohol and an amorous libido thought he was being given the green light and went for it but got it all wrong and the girl half way through the touching thought, na you know what I'm not liking this and went all sour on him but Brown didn't get the hint till it was way to late?

Sure Brown should have been more aware and maybe not so drunk and horny, but hardly something that under those sorts of circumstances a young man should lose everything he has been working towards in his life.

Like I said, if Brown is found not guilty, I will consider that a verdict of innocence and it would be a Yee ha moment for him, our club and most of our supporters, but maybe not you.

I’m happy if he’s not guilty, just think it’s a bit over the top under the circumstances to cheer a not guilty verdict, and definitely over the top cheering his lawyer saying he thinks it’s inconclusive.
If he’s found not guilty, I’ll pretty much forget the whole situation rather than be yeehawing

I think there’s a picture what’s likely happened now (or at least from Brown’s perspective) and the people who were ready to castrate Brown yesterday have probably misread the situation as unfortunately as a certain someone else.

That said he should be castrated for being out on a school night even if nothing else happened

What about witnesses?
Will depend on how many, how intoxicated they were at the time, whether staff saw it (sober, credible).

Also depends on if any witness statements are consistent with the CCTV.

There’s just too many unknowns at the moment.

I might’ve missed something. What likely happened?

My understanding is Dyl was drunk, the music was pumping and the complainant asked Dyl “do you want a doobie?”. Dyl thought she said “you wanna grab my boobie”.

all an innocent misunderstanding

If it stays this way and there is no video evidence of said 5 counts of touching and presuming there are no independent witnesses, then it becomes a case of she said, he said murkiness.

and how did that go for Hayne ? they believed what she said
