I'll give ourselves a good chance. The Cowboys had a fairly easy draw towards the end of the year but were beaten comfortably when they came up against the Rooster and Souths. They leaked alot of points against the Sharks and I doubt we will play that same defensive game. They too also struggled against the Tigers but unlike us they won by a point instead. Seems they can score points but also leak alot as well.
They actually weren’t that great against the panthers reserves either I thought…they got a couple of lucky “bounces” and had a bit more class out wide (which is expected against a NSW cup side) which let the score blow out a little….but thought panthers did ok in the middle…..periods of the game..

Cowboys had the 2nd best defence in the comp.

Conceding just 15 points per game.

And only 30 points more then Penrith who are considered elite.

Yet they have conceded 82 points in their last 3 games against sides in the top 8, Roosters 32, Souths 20 and Sharks 30 (panthers don’t count) in their last 5 games….

we didn’t even concede 30 against the panthers with a crappy completion rate / lots of errors…..BTW we have conceded 45 points in our last 3 games against top 8 sides….

That's true but i think the cows defense deserve some respect especially on what they have done so far in the regular season.

They have kept a team to single digits 9 times compared to us just 4 times.

3 of those 4 have come in the last 5 games.

He was suggesting with the 17 he has been naming that he has every position covered if there is an injury within a game. If he played Nrown and Matterson he would have to sacrifice one of the other players (who covers a different position) thus potentially leaving us short if there’s an injury.

I’m still a believer in just picking your best 17 blokes, especially this time of year.
Does that really make sense though if you take out Makatoa and replace him with Cartwright?

I reckon he's rolling the dice on Jnr, Reg, Rheed, Matto, Marata, Laney, Ice, Oregon all playing big minutes as usual. If he needs to use a forward off his Parra Ball 2 man bench, then he wants a more mobile merkin and maybe with an offload.

Yeh not really so my guess is they expect Opacic will be ruled out, Nuikore will go to Centre and Matto will start at 13 and play more of a traditional go-forward roll.

So Cartwright will play Matto's roll off the bench with a bit more ball playing.

Brown straight in at 13 for Marata would be most like for like change imo but then maybe he is worried Browns lack of game time etc

Reckon Simonson comes in if Opacic is out….Marata not starting in the middle changes our game to much…..it’s to big of a change to what has been successful recently….

If we don’t start well in the middle, it won’t matter who is playing centre….
That's the best option.

I hope Bailey & Sivo communicate well though.

I wouldn't be moving Waqa back into the centres.

Could you see us winding up Nathan Brown and letting him rip for the first 20 minutes and then coming off. Surely this is the only way we could actually replace Niukore's starting at lock without it impacting anything else that has been working too much.

I hope simonssen doesn't do his rush out of the line defense

Masters is normally played at Augusta mate.
18 stable ford points today in mid week comp at Penrith Golf Club.

Shattered. Thought my form was coming back but I accept I have nothing.

I will embarrass myself in Mandurah. A GF win take some of the pain away.
