They actually weren’t that great against the panthers reserves either I thought…they got a couple of lucky “bounces” and had a bit more class out wide (which is expected against a NSW cup side) which let the score blow out a little….but thought panthers did ok in the middle…..periods of the game..

Yes. And could of scored 20 points with a bit of luck.

It's funny I heard some experts talk about that Darwin game.

I rematched the mini.

No one has ironically mentioned we had Hayze Perham on the wing who was targeted where the cowboys scored 4 of there tries. On top of having Jake in the halves our attack was slow and cumbersome, Dylan looking disinterested in the centres.

We had 2 tries disallowed when it was 15-0 and Simmonson basically dropped the ball over the line with the line in sight.

3 tries came in last 5 and half mins. 19-4 it was at the time. Throw in those 3 tries we could have had that could went our way it's a lot closer game.

I think it was also one of those games where we took our opponents lightly. At that stage, the Cowboys were very early onto their season and we were their first big challenge.

But, they were always going to adapt to those conditions easier than us.

Yeah i think we are primed tbh. Opacic out and possible reshuffle is a concern.

But we are in form, the underdogs and on paper we are stronger.

Just need to get our start right. I do think if the cowboys get off to a 10-12 point lead early we will really struggle to win though.

But we have been building for this for 3 years.

2019 was a excellent recovery from the wooden spoon.

But i reckon since 2020 we have entrenched ourselves as a Top 4 team. We spent the majority of those 2 seasons during covid in the top 4 and only slipped out in the back end of last year in the Hub.

Then this year we have worked our way into season. There have been some disgusting performances along the way no doubt. But our last 4 wins in the past 5 weeks have a combined score off 157-30 including a tough grinding win against Storm where they scored 2 tries in last 4 mins.

Cowboys are still a year away i reckon plus I think they will be easy meat for whoever they play in the GF.

The Sharks and cows lucked in not only with there easy draw this year but then meeting each other in week 1 of the finals so one of them was a guarantee to make a prelim.

Would have preferred the Sharks with the travel, crowd and weather being less of a factor.

Hmm I heard Gerard Condon - the reading the play guy - pretty much shit can us this afternoon…. Hes’s a noted BA hater and he mentioned the Darwin game as Being “ over at half time” which I found interesting as most on here have said cows scored 3 late tries to blow the score out …. Add even more hilarious he played down our effort against the raiders… saying it was a soft game and not the best preparation cause raiders offered little resistance …… talk about digging hard to find a negative ….. Anyway he’s a merkin and f**k him ….

Ha ha, yet he picked the Raiders last week….even saying we could struggle against raiders centres as they shift the ball like south’s…..

but after well and truly proving his tip wrong, is now suggesting raiders were easy opponents…idiot!!

he actually had us missing the 8 too..

Theyre a different side to now. I forgot D Brown was in the centres in that game cause the week before I think they smashed Newcastle with a similar team

Also I think I heard that a number of players were unwell prior to the game and werent prepared to the conditions. People got stuck into Parramatta for playing the Cowboys in Darwin against a team used to heat but honestly who wouldve predicted the Cowboys were going to go well when the draw came out almost 12 months ago.

They have never played at their new ground and I dont think think theyre bothered with the poor record in Townsville.

I'm confident with Arthur's message the other night "Nothing can break us, we're got nothing to lose"
