We need someone to play on Ice’s edge and we need someone to fill the Marata hole. I assume Rodwell will look after the Marata spot as he is huge.

Toni Mataele is in the mix. Morretti might be also if he has the hardest off-season ever.
Is the Cini dude big enough to play edge back rower?

Some stats on form leading up to this game, I've included Finals and discounted the rest / byes.

Cowboys last ten games 7 wins 3 losses, 287 for 204 against. 5 games against top eight sides ( though that includes a NSW cup side Penrith )

Eels last ten games 7 wins 3 losses 277 for 157 against. 5 games against top eight sides

Cowboys last 5 games 3 wins 2 losses 157 for 94 against 4 games against top eight sides ( same includes NSW cup Penrith )

Eels last five games 4 Wins 1 loss 165 for 57 against. 3 games against top eight sides.

Compiling that I was actually a bit surprised at how much better our defence has been, particularly the last five weeks, and how much better our for and against is as a result.

And considering we have both played Penrith, if you took that game out (as their stats look better because of that NSW cup side game), we would look a lot better…

it wouId be (4 of the last 5 games with panthers not included):

cowboys - 119 for 86 against

Us - 157 for 30 against

There’s only one scoreline that matters FFS!

I don’t visit other forums very often but just thought I’d stick my head in to wish the Eels team and their loyal fans all the best against the Cowboys.

You guys have had a great year and are very capable of winning this next game and playing in the big one come GF day.

My heart always is with my beloved Dragons and I know only too well what a long wait between premierships is like so fingers crossed your long wait is almost over.

I’m also hoping the Rabbits get past that pussy, patronising, precocious Panthers lot and we have a GF with two old time Sydney teams.

Go Gutho
I think the Panthers are more Sydney than Souths these days.

Artificial 96% sugar Chocolate Milk dipped in petroleum v Nepalese Goat Curd organic latte served in edible recycled hamster poo mugs.

The smug is so pure this year, @soc123_au and @GongPanther took a sample and the usual lab couldn’t handle the purity and it’s being shipped to Large Hadron Collider to see ifs its original source is from before the Big Bang.

Stories of people losing their senses after watching Nathan kicks, speaking only ancient Sumerian thereafter.
