We've got the bye this weekend, which will do us the world of good.

Slight concern around Wayde Egan, but he should be right. Not sure when Jazz is back.

1- Nicoll-Klokstad
2- Watene-Zelezniak
3- Berry
4- Pompey
5- Montoya
6- Volkman/Metcalf
7- Johnson
8- Fonua-Blake
9- Egan
10- Afoa
11- Curran
12- Niukore
13- Harris

Res- Ale, Walker, Lussick, Sifakula

Don't really get the selection of Sironen.

Love the back row of Curran, Niukore and Harris.

Still missing Barnett and Tevaga in the middle. Would love to get back to Tevaga and Walker coming off the bench.

A bench of Ale, Walker, Tevaga....maybe Afoa sounds awesome.

Well I hope Webster does not push it, he is young and his hands are his money makers, rest it, now if it was a final maybe.

Fix it correctly comeback 100% when straping is not required.

Play Walker or Metcalf, if he can make through a game without breaking something.

I think Narnett and Metcalf will come straight in. Volkmans finger shouldn’t be rushed if we have options. And Barnett has earnt the right as soon as he’s fit and it’ll be over 2 weeks between him going public on his clearance and the Broncs game.
Also liking the Egan starting from bench option where he can work his magic amongst fading forwards. That game can’t come soon enough.

I wouldn't mind Metcalf earning his way in, tbh. NSW Cup side noticeably struggled without Volkmann, which says a lot imo. But yeah, if Volkmann's finger isn't 100% then Metcalf

Afoa has been cheese this year, plus thats a real light bench

yeah I get that but they are four players who are notable for having impact off the bench. I wonder if the game has moved away from having size off the bench. Also, you kinda have to work with what you have. We have a big prop who can play big minutes and 3 quality back rowers (Curran, Harris and Niukore) who can play 80 and/or pick up a shift in the middle.

On Afoa, I agree that he has been underwhelming this year and has been eclipsed a bit by Ale, who plays a similar role. With everyone available, his spot is under question. At his best, he is coming off the bench for 8-10 no nonsense carries and making all of his tackles- the latter, he tends to do.

I wonder if a part of the loss of sheen with him this year is due to a change in the way that he is used under Webster. It’s noticeable that he is playing less minutes (sometimes just the single stint) and isn’t always the preferred candidate for the hit up. It seems to me like Webster is building our game a lot around AFB and guys like Afoa are supporting cast.

Volkman probably let him heal the fracture first?

That looks good. Metcalf gives us more attack which we need if we want to give this year a real shot and aim for a top 4 finish

Great to have some depth for a change.

Thanks, when Te Maire returns maybe Metcalf can be our No.14, similar to Reece Walsh when he first started as Boy Wonder, then we have Metcalf, Walker, Jazz and Curran on the bench and the Niukore/Tohu can cover props.

Still hope we get an elite prop this year, then Barnett can play second row and Ford can be reserve depth.
