yeah, teams of nobodies do lift for games but really Parra should be able to put the cleaners through the Dragons

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't rate McKinnon's performances the last two weeks, and I'd rather see Burt back there. Sure McKinnon offers a bit in attack, in support and returns, and takes it up a little straighter than Burt, but I'd rather have Burt's speed and impact. The big difference is in defense, I don't know if its also Grothe's fault, that he doesn't drop back enough on kicks, but McKinnon rarely seems to reach the ball on the full, and any fullback that can't stop two rather slow 40/20's being kicked has positioning issues.

Our kick returning and back three need serious work on defense though, someone should teach Junior Langi to count, too, since that's the only way he could still be unable to mark up on his opposite after so many weeks. You've got the second man in from the wing, Junior, just stay on him for f**ks sake. I'd say he's making Petersen look worse than he's been too, although Petersen has been poor.

The majority would agree with you about Burt, but the problem is, he was replaced at fullback by McKinnon who was arguably our best player in our last two games, and is probably making a better fist of it than Burt did.

I now your Panther boy Mick but I can tell you Witt isn't the answer at the moment and I think you'll find the Thorman/Dykes combo will eventually click!! whether we win games or not is another thing.

The jury is still out on Mckinnon. Burt has been out of form because he has been out of position. Graham is the long term future at Fullback in my humble opinion.

Agreed. The other thing about McKinnon, is that at a time when many fans are saying the side is playing without pride in their jersey, McKinnon is one guy clearly putting in.

When Wade was running around in our reggies side before going to Souths, he was carving sides up week in week out.

Going to Souths was the worse thing he did, he clearly went backwards under Coleman/Langmack.

That maybe true mate but in 1st Grade he can't handle the heat in the Centers...A Jamie Lyon he aint.

I think Smith has picked Burt in the centers 50 times in the past 5 years and i've never seen him play one good game there.
