Our pack started really well and had good go forward and ruck speed through the middle. Once the Sharkies sorted their crap out and started muscling up in the middle we had no answer and just started playing more and more conservatively and ineffectively. We only got momentum back in maybe the last 15 minutes of the game, when we were behind, so it was like 50mins of being dominated in the middle.
As a team this year we seem to really struggle to get momentum back once the other team has it and I wonder if our tactics or mindset could be better. I'd like to see us push the ball wider earlier in the tackle count in our own half, from the 25-35m, tackle 3/4. usually good meters to be made out in the centers. And some second phase play - offloads. Can't just go into our shell.
