Based on Sunday

1 Joel Reddy
2 Luke Burt
3 Wade McKinnon
4 Timana Tahu
5 Eric Grothe
6 Jeremy Smith
7 Tim Smith
8 Justin Tsoulos
9 Mark Riddell
10 Mick Vella
11 Nathan Hindmarsh
12 Zeb Taia
13 Luke ODwyer

14 Blake Green
15 Weller Hauraki
16 Josh Cordoba
17 Fui Fui Moi Moi or Cannings

If Morrison is back Vella is dropped and Cordoba starts with Taia back to the bench.

Changed my mind

may be we can run Lukey off the bench as a specialist kicker, like they do in gridiron

i honestly think this...
peterson must go!
i think peek should be brought back in, his defence is missed dearly.
Stringer should be given a rest...played so well last year, something up this year!
morris on final notice in my eyes b4 he sees PL

Burt is a good goal kicker.

Delaney often struggles, he doesn't have a high percentage style.
he had 2 hard attempts....he is just as good as burt. if not better

Burt had similar attempts and only missed 1. I have been watching Delaney kicking goals and he obviously practices hard but his technique is all wrong.

Over the last two years there have been countless posts demanding Burt be dropped. A number fo those posts have been on the basis that Riddell and Delaney are better kickers than Burt.

This is the first game I can recall that goalkicking was a factor.

Mind you in the end we got bad enough that it wasn't actually the difference ...

1 Joel Reddy
2 Jarryd Hayne
3 Kris Inu
4 Timana Tahu
5 Eric Grothe
6 Feleti Mateo
7 Tim Smith
8 Justin Tsoulos
9 Mark Riddell
10 Mick Vella
11 Nathan Hindmarsh
12 Zeb Taia
13 Glenn Morrison

14 Marcus Perenara
15 Josh Cordoba
16 Nathan Cayless
17 FuiFui MoiMoi

I have wholesale changes to my side, in the backs and in the forwards...

McKinnon being dropped is a little harsh I know, but theres just something about his game that doesnt do it for me, and I think Reddy is a much better long term option, as is Hayne over Petersen and Burt.

Kris Inu might be raw, and inexperienced and whatever else...but he has talent, and that's something this team is really lacking at the moment, give him a go, if he doesnt pull it off, its not the end of the world.

Mateo has a good history of playing with Tim Smith, so his inclusion could add another dimension to the team, and to Smith's game.

Stringer and O'Dwyer are gone...the pack looks a lot more mobile as well as fast and strong with Vella and Morrison there, with Cordoba on the bench as a prop/backrower, leaving Widders out. I see much more use in starting Vella than having him off the bench, MoiMoi is more of an explosive impact player these days.

any thoughts?

And if you notice I never wanted Burt dropped. He is a better player than Peterson.

ODwyer played well again and in the period he was on our defence was better. He was protecting the fringes. When he went off they damaged us there.

Yeah but the issue is you have 3 front rowers on the bench and maybe Cayless needs to be dropped.

Maybe Taia back to the bench Morrison at 12 and ODwyer at 13.

Isn't it funny how we talked in the preseason about having depth in the centres and that Delaney and the likes would not get a go.

No we have teams with a VACANT sign in the centres. WEIRD !!

I guess injuries can do that to you, I'm kinda tempted to give this Parmatangi charecter a run as a stop gap measure, big, strong elusive..and may well be a surprise packet.

Assuming all these guys are fit....

1-Wade McKinnon
2-John Williams
3-Timana Tahu
4-Brett Delaney
5-Eric Grothe
6-Jeremy Smith
7-Tim Smith
8-Nathan Cayless (c)
9-Mark Riddell/Marcus Perenara if Pig gets done for striking
10-Justin Tsoulos
11-Nathan Hindmarsh
12-Zeb Taia
13-Glenn Morrison

14-Luke O'Dwyer
15-Dean Widders
16-Josh Cordoba
17-Fui Fui Moi Moi

18-Aaron Cannings
19-Daniel Wagon
20-Luke Burt

Then, if Piggy gets done Marcus plays hooker. If Delaney is injured, either O'Dwyer to the centres and Wagon to the bench, or Burt to the centres. If Williams is injured as I've since been informed he might be, Burt to the wing . If Morro is out, O'Dwyer to lock and Wagon to the bench. If O'Dwyer is out, Wagon to the bench. Cannings to cover for any unforseen in juries to the props, or just to replace Cayless if he's not up to it.

I think John Williams is injured as he didn't play on sunday.

In that case Burt would get a run, I guess. Shame though, Williams is a great player IMO
