Far out. Who else has he got to bloody choose from. You guys are impossible to please. Do you expect to him to just whack some top first grade players out of his ass and then have a team you all like? sh*t man we are struggling so bad with injuries it's not funny. Only person who shouldn't be in that team is Carmont, boke will always be a joke. We wont win but if you blame Smith then we will never have a coach good enough for the Knights.
Carmont definately deserves his spot. I certainly don't consider him a joke. We have had far worse players in first grade than him.

But how about the busts he made. Didn't get much of the ball but did quite a lot with it when he did have it. Also, his defence sh*ts all over Mad Dog and Tighe.

PS. I can't believe i am saying this but he seems to have bounced back since being dropped.

Kiwis like to come back to Mt Smart and have a big game against the Warriors.

Carmont's had success for Newcastle against the Warriors.

You enjoy watching blokes run 2 metres forward and 50m sideways to be thrown into touch.
I think you're exaggerating somewhat there. Carmont is no star but he's played well recently, he's the best pick we've got ATM.

As opposed to a centre/5/8 who doesn't even have that in his game?

I'm pretty sure I just heard Smith confirm that Abraham will play against the Warriors in the latest online audio interview with Mullen.

It's around the 8th minute.

They asked if he's settled on Tighe for the season and he said Abraham will come into it and "he'll get a go this weekend and come in at some stage".

Garbage - on recent form he's one of the most deserving.

you know what i really hate about Tighe? - just like Craigie, the only decent games he will ever have are when he plays against us.

MacDougall has a calf injury and will not travel with the side over to New Zealand. Looks like the Tighe at 5/8 experiment is over for the time being, and we should hopefully see Abraham back into his makeshift position.

In a further setback for the injury-ravaged Knights, veteran centre Adam MacDougall yesterday succumbed to a calf problem he has been carrying and will miss Saturday's match against the Warriors in Auckland.

Taia was near the top of our tackle count again last week, with over 30 despite getting injured 15-20 minutes before time. He works hard, and ahs a good offensive contribution. He can get found out every now and again, but is a pretty solid player who could become quite a bit better with an off season with the team.

I think he just needs time to get adjusted into a 'Brian Smith' type of forward, and then we will be seeing Taia playing at his best. Currently he is only taking the ball to the line and doesn't offer much else. But the more time he has under Smith, he will start developing offloading skills and carrying the ball out in front of him with two hands always looking for an opportunity to pop the ball out wide. Then i think we will see Taia transform into a tremendous player cause he already has the workload capabilities, he just needs to add another dimension in his game to be less predictable.
