What was wrong with Brett Stewart's eyes? He did not have them in alignment and it seems than one eye kept rolling towards the middle. I feel sorry for him. But obviously it did not affect his talent and performance as a great rugby league full back.

This is why I'm in favour of pill testing. The bad stuff clearly rots the brain. :D

Were those Roosters fans the geniused types that post on facebook after a loss?

Hodgson had a couple of very good seasons but please, let's not get too misty eyed.

If you measured them up on every attribute I don't see where Hodgson comes out ahead of Teddy on a single one.

Teddy is the Roos fullback now in an era of great fullbacks and it'll be his jersey for 5 yrs. He's also dominated Origin where as Hodgson is famous in Origin for being a rag doll.

As for Wesser, I know his 2003 season was epic but as a full body of work he's not even close to Teddy. How many Origins did he play?

Late to the party so it may have been discussed...but Hodgson would be well in my top ten.

That doesn't mean I think he was better than Tedesco, but he was certainly a top shelf player. Definitely a better kicking game than Tedesco, almost certainly a better ball-player too. Obviously he was a smaller fullback even then, so he'd get nowhere near the power or strength Teddy has and therefore not in the same league with his running game.

People who remember him for on tackle in Origin like to conveniently forget his record-breaking debut. From what I can find years later, that debut consisted of 374 run metres, 14 tackle busts, six line breaks, one try assist and a try of his own.

He was immense in that game and good in every other, even the one he did get Tallised in.

That's not to say he's better than Tedesco. There would be very fullbacks in history with his mix of power, speed and ability to break the line from nothing. But Hodgson also deserves to be discussed heavily as a top 10 NRL era fullback IMO

So he was good in the game where he literally gifted an origin series to qld?
He's not in Tedesco's league. Good player, but definitely not that good. Tesdesco still has improvement in him-the bloke is going to own origin for years to come i reckon, fitness pending.

As if he doesn’t already own origin. The bloke has ripped the Maroons to shreds in just about every game he has played. He was also the NSW player of the series and imo the REAL player of the series last year.

He'll be even better when this nsw side really starts to click.

As good as Wesser was in 2003 it's debatable that he was even the best fullback that season. Schifcofske was leading the Dally M when voting went behind doors and would've run second to Gower if it wasn't cancelled, and Schif was better over the 2001 - 2006 period as a whole. He would've been fullback of the year twice in that period when the talent was an at an absolute peak.

Even then I couldn't fit him into the Top 10, he didn't have the rep career to justify it.

I really wish they would just release the damn results for 2003.
