Whose business is it then?
It was raised at an AGM and (apparently) and guillotined when questioned were raised. I don't care one way or the other, but there appears to be a story within a story...sniff, sniff...

I wasn't there at the meeting..so your interpretation is probably spot on. However, just because someone airs a matter at the AGM...which is the RIGHT place to air it..I don't think he could be called as 'going on like a pork chop'...but I WASN'T there. You were .
Just think it is a funny interpretation of a speaker's query, that's all.
I think the Club would prefer its members to raise issues of concern. Otherwise you wouldn't know what gets pushed through and what doesn't.
I, as a member, prefer to see matters raised at an AGM firstly, and then read about them in the Press...and not the other way round.(BUT, as a former newspaper man, I preferred the latter - break the story first :lol

This is a great opportunity for a board member to come on and explain things. It is a great chance to follow through with the transparency, openness and accountability.....

Has anyone thought to ring Andrew and ask why he resigned.

it was raised in the AGM and that's were it stays.

It's nothing for us to carry on like 5 years and want all the gossip and inside stories.

just back on the AGM for a moment and I know i touched this on another thread but i'm really dissapointed that no one from the board challenged Fitzy as to why Hill should not of been elected life membership, especially when you know that there was a genuine reason out there and it could be real reason behind the revelation that he resigned and was not made redundant.

Why doesn't Mr Hill just come on League Unlimited and tell us since we are all dying to know what took place.

He should always be available for league unlimited, after all it's the one place where true parra fans are cause if your not on league unlimited, then your simply out of touch with the happenings at our club.

The bloke has not received LM, and he resigned from the position for whatever reason..

I was at the meeting, and in my opinion, Andrew Hills character was never brought into question. Can't believe it has even been raised as an issue for any other reason than distant ignorance.

Stagger has summed up the situation pretty well all along.
Denis had a hissy fit, and the current board handled the situation pretty poorly, which I agree with, although, no differently than the previous board did in the past - ie. Terry Leabeater's application for F C Membership being rejected by the previous Board without explanation. I wonder why this is any different, and why Denis Fitzgerald chucked such a hissy fit on the day re Andrew Hill's Life Membership rejection??

and some of the posters who are claiming Andrew Hill's character is being brought into question and demanding answers were quite happy for Terry's character to be brought into question with statements that were made at the time.

But really, who cares? The AGM was how long ago? I can't believe this is still going.

secondly, where did I use the word sinister, maybe the answer is right infront of you Pete, if you look carefuly there's a possability that sevens actually gave a reasonable explenation as to why the board couldn't comment on Fitzy's hissy fit on the Hill saga..

thirdly, you're a mate of Dennis remember???..give him a call today and get his version of events, you're his buddy, he'll tell you...

as for Lynn's remark to dennis, it was there for all to see, had you been there you may of seen it aswell...;-)

Reasoning behind his resignation and the life membership, I dare say would come under the normal cone of silence of his contact, which I would say was signed a while ago.
