Unless she has some scheduling conflict like Mr Kenny or indeed Sevens.

Mark perhaps I was more inclined to go and help out a great cause for the Schitzophrenia Foundation and the Black Dog Institute, instead listening to issues that will not advance this club one little bit. I made a decision not to reschedule Mark, as what I was attending I could actually help make a difference, where at the AGM I had no chance to make a difference listening to the past yell into a microphone. I put on this forum Mark, why Brett was unable to attend, but you still take a cheap shot at Brett and myself....well done mate, very positive stuff.

This is the sort of Petulant, jumping at shadows I would have expected from fitzy, supposedly. Not once did I say that what you had done was wrong, improper or incorrect. I am merely stating, that to expect a person who was a former board member of the club to attend the annual general meeting without explicit knowledge of their schedule or reasoning is in itself, at the least not constructive. When we break it down further that the person in question was not even a former member of the football club board, then do we need to ask where the 700 or so other members of the football club did not attend also? Personally I do not believe that we do.

That you chose to see this as a personal attack is, quite disappointing.

Petulant Mark? can you give me a couple of hours to look that up in the dictionary. You know exactly what I was alluding to mate, or you would not be jumping at "shadows" as you just have. Mark if you think I wont respond when you have a back handed crack at Brett or myself, then perhaps I have been wasting my time on here. Mark if my non attendance was not wrong, improper or incorrect, why did you bring it up at all, or include us to make your point with the good doctor.

Lastly Mark putting me, Fitzy and supposedly, in the one sentence....no need for that..............bully

There was no back handed crack, if you think there was, then that is your problem.

just back on the AGM for a moment and I know i touched this on another thread but i'm really dissapointed that no one from the board challenged Fitzy as to why Hill should not of been elected life membership, especially when you know that there was a genuine reason out there and it could be real reason behind the revelation that he resigned and was not made redundant.

I believe Lyn Wallace challenged Denis off microphone on the resignation of Andrew, apparently short and sweet, but Lyn made her point.

Reasoning behind his resignation and the life membership, I dare say would come under the normal cone of silence of his contact, which I would say was signed a while ago.

she did..I think she said something along the lines of "you know the reason why" she certainly put him in his place...

Terry/Stagger,

Any real chance of telling us the reason? I just figure it couldn't be too much of a board secret or the two of you certainly wouldn't know. Unless ofcourse someone has been talking out of school.
And no Terry, this is not a personal shot at you so there is no need to come out swinging, champ.

Cheers.

Why didn't she get up and tell the reason if she knew it, instead of this Chinese Whispers campaign.
I'm intrigued to discover how Lyn put Fitzy ' in his place?'. Please do tell...or
is it too controversial, and 'hearsay' or a fact?
Would be interested to know the real reason....

This is a great opportunity for a board member to come on and explain things. It is a great chance to follow through with the transparency, openness and accountability.....

could this be the reason? and if so Dennis obviously pounced on the opportunity to get one over the current board by carrying on like a pork chop infront of the board and members,

I wasn't there at the meeting..so your interpretation is probably spot on. However, just because someone airs a matter at the AGM...which is the RIGHT place to air it..I don't think he could be called as 'going on like a pork chop'...but I WASN'T there. You were .
Just think it is a funny interpretation of a speaker's query, that's all.
I think the Club would prefer its members to raise issues of concern. Otherwise you wouldn't know what gets pushed through and what doesn't.
I, as a member, prefer to see matters raised at an AGM firstly, and then read about them in the Press...and not the other way round.(BUT, as a former newspaper man, I preferred the latter - break the story first )

This is not the place for that kind of info to be discussed

It's simply none of our business.

I don't take things personally mate, I call it as I see it, and then I am over it, and if you read into it that I am coming out swinging at times, I am attacking what is said not the person. I apologise if it comes across as a personal attack. As I said, once I have had my 2 bobs, its over.

Nobody is talking out of school, it is just common knowledge that Andrew resigned, and obviously he has a clause in his contract, OR they have come to an agreement of non disclosure. Anything other than that would be speculation.

So is Andrew Hill's reputation to come into question because of innuendo?

Pete how is Andrews reputation being called into question, and what innuendo.

What was called into question on this thread, was Denis at the AGM making the claim that Andrew was sacked....that is not true, Andrew resigned...end of argument.
