Id have sooner fired Ben Johnson and moved to a new OC than promote Matt Patricia to DC
And yes, that last drive was embarrassing but you're right to point out the issues at OC. But it's also on Hurts.

And this shit is all over twitter btw, but there are guys OPEN in this offence and he's BIG GAME hunting every time. There are 7-8 plays on Eagles twitter which has Hurts doing really dumb shit to look for a home run when there is a very easy 5-6 yards
And this offence works best when it just methodically walks the ball down the field
First drive yesterday, TD drive, it was 8 runs and i think 1-2 passes, both easy compeletions and letting the talented WRs do their thing.
There are times and places for throwing up a YOLO ball to AJ Brown, but it cant be every f**king drive and every god damn 3rd down

On the game sealing INT, Hurts throws into double coverage to AJ when the check down to the RB had 20 f**kING YARDS of room to run and 2 times outs and 13 seconds... that's a game tying FG opportunity given up for a bad go ball.
Happens a lot this year. The offensive philosphy is to chase the big game hunt and ignore the easy stuff. Cant do it. Cant live that way

Well it wasn't the prettiest in the end but with the Dallas loss that's just about job done for the division and the number 1 seed may still be in play if the current ravens/9ers score holds.

We were cruising to half time and then those damn turnovers reared up with a fumble in our red zone and a pick 6 both in the 3rd quarter making this much closer than it otherwise would have been. We have been turnover happy all season and it needs to be rectified if we want to challenge the good teams on the playoffs. Especially consider ING we aren't forcing much ourselves.

Haven't had a chance to watch the game properly yet so will expand on those thoughts later.

Well the 9ers lose... In a blow out... At home which invalidates them as contenders if the same logic is used as when we lost to them.

1 seed in play now. We still need them to lose a game. I doubt they lose against Washington even without Purdy but rams will put up a big fight in the last week IMO.

We just need to take care of business from here to be in a position to benefit of they slip up.

33-19 not a blowout. 9ers have the tiebreaker, but yeah rams are coming good. Eagles don't look great themselves.
Funny nobody is talking about lions?!

It was 33-12 and could have got worse, definite blow out.

Agree on eagles but here we are likely winning the division and 2 seed at worse and playoffs are a new ball game

Lions are a hard one, I could see them losing to a WC team at home but equally can see them winning easily. They need to finish 2 seed or better IMO because I don't see them winning road games against 9ers or eagles

Tom Brady may be right; there are no good teams currently. 9ers are awesome on paper, but I guess how teams match up with Lamar is hard to predict. Still the team to beat, but without Purdy & rams playing well who knows?! Baltimore are the strength in AFC, but are yet to produce in playoffs.

Rewatching the eagles game and it's a step forward
Hurts played quite well and frankly if the eagles call a fair catch on the 2nd half kick off, and Goedart doesnt lose his footing this is probably a 33-10 ish sort of game

Eagles were MUCH better.

Things i liked:
- Hurts took some more of the easy stuff underneith. And it was one of his better games passing as a result. Didnt big game hunt EVERY time.
- Pistol run plays, that shit has been there all year long, they found in the closing stages and it was money... this shotgun run game isnt working, but the pistol can. Hammer it.
- Move pre snap movement today i felt and it worked
- Ringo looks solid
- Good protection from the OL, strong run blocking too
- Hurts managed the pocket quite well for the most part
- Maddox is on his way back, as is Jurgens and Morrow/Cunningham and Slay. We need all the help we can get on D
- Shaq made some plays (also got cooked a few times)

Things i didnt like:
- Every week the team finds ways to have errors. Today it was a horrific play on ST's on kick off and Goedart slipping out of his break. It's ALWAYS something
- Too many penalties. This team cant run pick plays. Always OPI
- DL still cant close on 3rd down. This unit is too good to be shut out.
- Hurts is bailing out of good pockets too soon, decision making is shakey right now.
- The only reason they won this game was the giants ran out of time. Do not trust Patricia at all
- Bradbury looks cooked. Need Slay back ASAP.

Man i dont know what game you watched, but the Niners got belted. Scoreline flattered them.
They're still the best team in the NFC but the Ravens dominated that game. It wasnt close.

Still dont think this team is going to get back to the SB but the best path forward is this:

1. Win out. Secure the #2 seed
2. Beat #7 in week 1
3. Jared Goff gets a winter game in Philly in week 2... eagles win
4. ??? Profit? (IDK how we beat the niners with this personnel, but any given sunday i suppose)

Think this team tops out at the NFCCG.

issue with the Lions is they're inconsistent and Goff cant play in cold weather.
Maybe we wont have to but ill be pretty confident if Goff is coming to Philly in January with some snow around and about. Hard to trust a team like them

Fair enough!
Ravens beat em like they stole something. MacDonald had Purdy in a blender. Very impressive. Some junk time nonsense made it look closer than it was.

I seem to remember the pats getting run over by Baltimore one season during their dynasty. Lamar is tough match up because no other team plays like that.

He moved to 20-1 against nfc teams today
If you don’t have time to properly prepare, it’s done

very hard week to week match up
Think in the play offs things get tighter but mostly he’s fallen to teams who are well versed with him.

I haven't given up on the 1 seed just yet. It's still the 9ers to win but that last game against the rams may be very tricky.

Also, I'm torn about who we want to win between Dallas and Detroit this week. The obvious answer is Detroit as that (should) clinch the division. However, we are only the 2 seed currently above Detroit based on SOV. The previous tie breaker is common games in which we are both 3-1 and a win for Detroit would bring Dallas games in to that equation meaning they are 4-1 and us 4-2 although I'm unsure if both our games would count in that scenario or just the away one? Either way their record would be better. Additionally, should it come to SOV, i'd have to do the exact math but us beating ARI and them beating DAL would tighten up that tie breaker as well and then of course that constantly changes with other results around the league.

Think we have to trust ourselves to beat ARI and NYG and root for Dallas this week

** throws up**.

Additionally, in terms of the division the NYG game is the more important one to win. The only way we can tie with Dallas now is if they win out and we go 1-1. In the case that one loss is NYG we lose the division due to division record (5-1 as opposed to 4-2). In the case we lose to ARI then it goes to SOV and ours is a mile ahead of Dallas.

Yep agreed
The priority is the 2 seed

that will give us the best shot for an any given Sunday/ punchers chance in an NFCCG

So yeah, win out and go Dallas *pukes*

Potential scenario:

Eagles, Niners and Detroit win this week, that would give the lions the tie breaker in the 2 seed and would lock up the nfc east as the eagles would be 2 games up on Dallas with 1 to play

detroit finish with the Vikings and are unlikely to lose that. If this occurs the eagles are basically locked into the 3 seed
At which point I wonder if they’d rest key starters against the giants in the final week and avoid that horrible MetLife turf

or do they play it out hoping the Vikings and/or Rams can pull an upset off with the #1 still theoretically in play?
