Yeah i know, but Ryan Girdler has as much chance as David Bayssari.....but i think Tricky Trindle is a must as a nominee.....i mean think of the stories he could provide us about being in Dubbo when Julian ONeill shat is schlossies shoe.

The only reason for it being post-WWII is because the original three judges had not seen most of the great pre-war players. They only wanted to judge those they had seen.

On that aspect, Norm Provan for the 8th Immortal for sure. Johns for the 9th Immortal whenever that will be.

A ridiculous thread that simply clouds the history of our great game. Disgusts me. A great portion of the options in the poll are ludicrous and a greater portion of those submitting votes have no clue about today's players, let alone the players of the distant past.

Oink !

But you do ?

The OP asked for an opinion, people gave it. Could you be more condescending because you don't agree with some of the opinions given ?

Johns should be included somewhere down the line. One of if not the greatest halfback of all time. Revolutionized the position and showed others how it's done. He took drugs. So what? He had the balls to admit it and yeah it was to late to do anything about but you tell me some of the players on the field now aren't 100% drug free, do a bit in the off-season. Heck the AFL always has issues with players and ex-players/ afl greats on drugs so does not really give them much ammunition.

I always imagined you as the type of bloke who would watch Home and Away.

LOL to be honest I never actually saw Wes on there. It was Godz Illa who told me he was on the show.

As a teenager I did have a home n away perving period. The chicks on there were pretty hot in the 90s.

No Shane Webke?

I'd go for big Mal, amazin player and Australian capt.

Johns? Great player but his drug abuse should discount him imo. He has as much said that he used drugs to help him relax and be a better player, that is close enough to performance enhancing for me to exclude him.

only thing about Mal was he spent his career running over skinny wingers and centres.

So using your speed, strength and skills to target weaknesses is wrong?

Let's discount Johns too. Spent his whole career targeting weak links in defence.

not wrong. Meninga was way better
LOL Andrew Johns was the most skillful, complete player to ever play the game.

Mal was a dominant centre, but still not even close to Joey in terms of talent.

He wasn't even the greatest player on his team. More like 4th behind Daley, Lazarus and Clyde. I wouldn't argue if someone said Sticky and Boxhead were better as well.

Lazarus and Clyde ......Stuart and Walters?

Is that also taken from other people's opinions......because you continue to show just how little you yourself actually know

btw

Lewis >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Johns
