I hate fools who still think they are right, despite the person they are arguing with is better qualified and has provided proven theoretical concepts with statistical data to back it up.
And that qualified person would be you?
What are your qualifications chef?

I hate fools who have a sook when they can't keep up with intellectual gymnastics.
You are our intellectual superior and yet you hate people. Interesting.
Confidence is great, pride is an asset. But they are worthless without a little humility.

People who go to university are superior in at least one area by the fact they are better educated nine times out of ten.
Please say that again, I can't hear you from way down here.
What's make you think that the people you are debating with have never had an education equal to yours? Some people just don't flaunt it. Not everyone is arrogant or a spoilt brat. Hey, some people even work for a living and still consider themselves experienced and even a little bit knowledgeable. Amazing eh? Normal people with smarts. Who woulda thunk it?

What the hell do you want me to say? That he is right? He wants to question my character then he is going to cop it back!
lol. Says the superior intellect and snob who talks down to people on a daily basis.

The percentage is the statistically significant piece of data.
OK, time for the coup de grâce.
Oh hang on... let me find a ladder first... ok. Ready to roll...
According to the ABS,

The population clock takes into account births, deaths and international migration.
Australia's population increases by roughly one person every one minute and 18 seconds. For argument's sake, let's say approximately one person every 1.3 minutes.
That's 10 people every 13 minutes. Or roughly 50 people an hour - let's not quibble over decimal points anymore, we can fudge it up later.
In a day, 24 hours, that's about 1200 people.
That's approximately 450,000 people per year.
On 11 November 2010 at 07:47:14 PM (Canberra time), the resident population of Australia is projected to be:
22,520,145
Population growth rate is less than 2%.
Still keeping up with me chef?
Australia has a growth rate of 1.7%. Backed up by the World Bank Graph, here:
http://www.google.com/publicdata?ds=wb-wdi&met=sp_pop_grow&idim=country:AUS&dl=en&hl=en&q=australia's+population+growth
Australia's population growth rate = 1.7%
Call it 2% if that makes you feel better. Let's not forget New Zealand.
ABS and World Bank. Two sources, irrefutable.
Compare this to the
NRL attendances figures in recent years (thanks to _snafu_'s post):
Total crowd attendances (Annual % figures rounded down):
2006 - 3115521
2007 - 3332024 = 216503 increase or +6.9%
2008 - 3280588 = 51436 decrease or -1.5%
2009 - 3435929 = 155341 increase or +4.7%
2010 - 3490778 = 54849 increase or +1.5%
That's an average annual increase of 2.9%
Maths is your enemy Chef.
Looks like the inferiors have got your number... sorry, percentage.
