Horrendous stuff by Paine.

His captaincy was negating his poor batting but that has been horrendous all ashes.

He offers little, averaging 15 with the bat in 2019. Bring in Carey

All the talk about Paine wasting his review but wait if an umpire cannot see an obvious LBW decision as that one he is not fit to umpire Test Cricket.

Absolute disgraceful performance and a howler has cost us big time.

If it was Australia and not England that it happened to what do you think their papers would’ve been printing today?

I think the fact the ball skimmed the front pad first put the umpire off a bit. They're human and just like players, they make mistakes. That is why the DRS was introduced, for decisions like that.

Blame our geniused captain for reviewing a not out call that was clearly pitching outside leg. That was idiotic and cost us the game, not the umpire.

I like Carey but his glovework is not good enough for Test match cricket yet imo.
