This game hasn't gone without controversy, as McGregor comments suggest:

“They obviously came here with a plan, they gave away a lot of penalties and defended their line well – whether that was part of it or not I’m not sure.”

I agree, and its very easy to say this is sour grapes but Storm the other night gave a host of penalties near there try line. It does a couple of things it gives their defenders a rest, takes away momentum and stifles the opposition attack, and makes it a stop start which frustrates the fans watching the game.

If teams continue do this crap it up to refs to start sin binning players. I didn't watch the Warriors/Dragons game so I can't comment but I noticed it the other night in the Broncs/Storm game and its happened in other games I have watched this year as well.
I never found the game controversial. The Warriors were better on the day. McGregor's problem was he didn't adjust our gameplan and our execution was off.

Tigers have done pretty well out of this strategy so far this season any time a team looks like getting a roll on just give away penalties. I think the attack will evolve to involve more play off the back of offloads and create momentum that way. I also think there should be an emphasis on playing advantage and encouraging teams to throw everything at a 'free play' under advantage especially when near the opponents line

Dragons: Under Mary they've always started the season well and faded badly. I think they're a lot stronger this year than previous years, but not sure they'll stay first the entire season. Probably finish around 3rd-5th and go 2-3 weeks into the finals

Warriors: I think they've bought well this year and look a much different team to years past, less reliant on the miracle plays from the likes of Johnson & RTS, and can grind away in the arm wrestle. Like the Dragons, I don't know if the coach is good enough but I can definitely see them being thereabouts at the end of the season.
