I don’t think you’ll find to many unhappy Dragons fans at the moment. You will get plenty that are mindful of being in the same position we are now in 2017 & fading into oblivion. Absolutely Hunt & Graham are delivering(as are Widdop, JDB, Sims et al)but we still have similar question marks to last year - speed on our edges(particularly Nighty), depth(no recognised back up for McInnes), bench selection & rotation(4 bench spot getting zero to few minutes in about 4 games so far). For me, we still have a long way to go to exorcise the demons from last year. A win over Melbourne will certainly help.

Dragons are playing well. But staying injury free is definitely helping. Luck plays its part every season.

Staying free of injuries isn't always just a matter of luck. The Dragons used to have terrible problems with injuries and I'm convinced that poor injury prevention practices played a part in that. Maybe now we are doing everything right.

Lock it in gents, March AND APRIL Premiers!!!

But really, we are looking awesome and playing some killer footy but we are only 1 win ahead of where we were this time last season, at which point other dragons fans were telling me 'but we are a different team and playing so much better this year' when I expressed concerns about a fade out. As mucha s Top 4 is the benchmark from here, I'm not convinced we will carry it through. We've have no injuries to our Top 16, our depth in key positions is pretty poor and some of the tactics of the coach give me worries.

I disagree.

The Warriors were March premiers with our game yet to play :p.

We are definite April premiers and now is the time for the expected slide, so what will prove to be the difference is how our rotation is and how good our depth is. I totally agree with your sentiments Benny about the fans saying we are a different team because of Hunt being here. So far we have been very lucky with injuries as the Frog has pointed out but at some stage our depth will be tested and when the inevitable losses happen and form dips then what will prove to be the difference this season is how the players respond when times get tough. Too much talk of so many rep players for my liking and if it happens we will be decimated during origin and burnout for those players will be a huge problem.

Coaching will show whether the club has learned from last season and we all know how we feel about Mary...I certainly don't have my head in the clouds but if we are in the top 4 after origin is done then we are a chance. If (heaven forbid) we slide again at least we beat the Broncos and Sharks and hopefully Storm this Sunday,

Dragons impressive but still have to question whether they're peaking way too soon. If you don't leave any room for improvement then it starts to become a pretty hard slog by the time you get to the latter rounds.

Not a small feat at all to put 20 points on the Storm. To my mind, they are still (unfortunately) the yardstick. Warriors got exposed. Dragons showed themselves to be the real deal. Still a lot of Rugby League to be played, but the signs are pretty good.
