Safe to say the majority thought there was no send off warranted. Well done Hampstead, create unnecessary controversy to once again give the media an excuse to take the focus off the action on the field.

2 weeks - swinging arm made contact - shouldn't have been a send off but put on report.

In 2006 - On report, 1-2 weeks
In 2007 - Precedent set by AJ/SBW, send off and 2-3 weeks

I hate that word, precedent. League has been around for 100 years, why do we have to set a precedent at the beginning of every year, especially when the high tackle rule hasn't changed for quite some time.

I agree that he shouldnt have been sent from the field but there isnt much point in saying that now. This and the SBW incident both didnt deserve send offs but because the players were knocked out, it makes it seem worse, he will get 2 weeks imo.

To those in the "he shouldn't have been sent off" crew, think about it.

HE WAS SENT OFF and that can't be changed now. That was the initial punishment. The question is now... was that sufficient penalty or does he deserve further suspension?

The poll isn't about what should have happened, it's about what should happen in the FUTURE.

Shouldn't have been sent off. He got him around the shoulder for f**ks sake. Phelps was knocked out by Witt, not Crockett. Hampstead should be sacked for such a ridiculous decision that, in the end, ruined what could have been a great game of football and handed victory to the Dogs.

Skeepe, it was not Hampsteads call.
The video ref, Phil Cooley, looked at the replay a few times and passed his judgement to Sean. Sean had no choice.

I thought that Dickhead only listened to his touch judge - who i'm surprised is allowed in public unsupervised.

And yes, Dodge is right this time.

He shouldn't have been sent off, but we're discussing what the judiciary will see.

Your fault for putting up a dodgy poll

To be fair, the title is a little misleading. "Debate" suggests that it's a "should he have been sent off" issue.

That bloke that got kimmorley with a high elbow last night was worse

Lilyman did not connect with the elbow.
He raised it, sure, but didnt connect.
Lilyman hit Noddy with his hip 1st, and with the force of that it pushed him away and his elbow missed.
