Wayne needs to raid the Soapdodger League. Bring out the English RL team. It should be able to beat the Cowboys and Broncos. It was an image of a bronco ass model bending over in front of a porpoise with a suss grin on his face.
All that said, our poor side is looking like it won’t be able to compete against the Titans reserve grade side at the moment.
Probably should have signed Seibs to coach.
Clint will be hitting the piss pretty hard atm.
I just can just see him blind drunk, chatting up a pokie machine at the porpoise xmas party, King Wally in the corner trying to light a funny cigarette. Disco lights, status quo and abba.
Recent billionaire Kafusi sending a zoom message from a sauna with the full Penrith gold chains and sunnies on the big screen.
Big night for the club, everyone’s trying to forget, only 6.6% of roster filled and some junior turkeys from Currumbin High U 16s.
Kevmond hiding in the car park in his Holden Kingswood with listening devices, trying to find out what’s going on.
Words like “ pulling together as the one club” alarm him.. With his coach whisperer buddy sprouting 18th century Russian poetry wearing a pink tutu.
Some of those Northern Pommie accents are so thick, he’d have to find an interpreter.Wayne needs to raid the Soapdodger League. Bring out the English RL team. It should be able to beat the Cowboys and Broncos.
info@dolphinsnrl.com.auBest way to contact the club via email re. their branding?
Yep. Most of the NRL clubs started out in clean jerseys with no ads and a big dominant club badge. The Dolphins are going to be starting with a badge that is dwarfed by a big dirty ad for another club. I think the KINGs is a T20 team.I posted this onto the stadiums thread which was a bit silly but it was in the context of another discussion.
This is really for the jersey thread, but I agree there is something not quite right about the Advdnture Kings sponsorship on the Dolphins jersey.
It doesn't trigger our usual complaints. It isn't too big. It isn't in a big box.
But I think it is to do with the fact the it is such bold clear writing of what could arguably be a mascot's name. When i look at the jersey I think of them as the Kings instead of Dolphins bizarrely for a second. It may also be because the Dolphins are new so we don't automatically associate their jersey with them (plus otherwise it is basically just a red shirt).
I guess it would be similar to if there was another team with a similar sponsorship. Eg, if the Storm had a big LIONS sponsorship across the front, they may get confused as the Lions instead of Storm for newcomers. But this is less likely for people like us because we are used to their branding already.
Additionally, its quite a bold blue. Makes me see them as a Red, white and blue team rather than a Red, white and gold team
Was that back in the NSWRFL era over 50 years ago?Yep. Most of the NRL clubs started out in clean jerseys with no ads and a big dominant club badge. The Dolphins are going to be starting with a badge that is dwarfed by a big dirty ad for another club. I think the KINGs is a T20 team.
If I was the Broncos I would refer to them throughout Brisbane media as the Kings just to add to the confusion.
Yeah so confusing, like when everyone was calling the the new GC team back in 2007 the Jets.......I posted this onto the stadiums thread which was a bit silly but it was in the context of another discussion.

Lol. Try telling a Redcliffe local they're a suburb of Brisbane. No I mean the suburb of Redcliffe. There is no city of Redcliffe anymore. Its an outer suburb of Brisbane metro sitting in a LGA of MBRC. I live in a suburb in the city of Joondalup LGA but its still a perth metro suburb lol
Meaning you don't travel? Or you're not a RL fan? Who are "we"?We know RL fans dont travel.
Redcliffe is 100% in Brisbane. as is Logan, Ipswich and Capalaba no matter what anyone chooses to thinkLol. Try telling a Redcliffe local they're a suburb of Brisbane.
What you do in Joondalup or Upper Kumbukta West isn't relevant to how people feel elsewhere.
I've travelled the world watching RL, mudgee? hahahMeaning you don't travel? Or you're not a RL fan? Who are "we"?
P.S. Posting from Mudgee.
The people of Jimboomba may disagree.Redcliffe is 100% in Brisbane. as is Logan, Ipswich and Capalaba no matter what anyone chooses to think
