What's funny?

As if you wouldn't? Think about it - would they rather potentially play Italy/France in the latter stages, or Romania?

An easy decision. They've earnt the right to do it and they will, good luck to them. They deserve it, played very well and great to watch.

The funny part is you are an italian, and accusing the dutch of throwing the next game

But I would understand if they did throw the next game, but don't think they will.

Quarter Finals

Portugal v Germany - biased
Turkey v Croatia - want an upset
Holland v Sweden - holland are playing the best
France v Spain - because of the arsenal connections

6 different goalscorers for the Dutch in the 1st two matches of a European Championship.Thats got to be some sort of a record. Van der Vaart who scores a fair few goals himself is yet to score but has had his hand in a couple.

Yeah, the two Bayern players were the best on pitch for France

Sagnol did get caught forward, but why? because he was forced to, for most of the game, the worlds best winger, Ribery, was playing in a much more central playmaking role, forcing Sagnol to be the man wide on the right. Ribery is at his best tearing down either the left or right taking on men - rather than being crowded centrally.

France are close to the worse managed side at the tournament IMO.
Is Ronaldo not a winger? Granted he's just as good playing alittle more central than Ribery but he can be played as an out and out winger. In which case he is obviosuy better than Ribery. Who is still a damn good player in his own right.

As is the freak that is Arjen Robben when he's fully fit. He's always been awesome for the Dutch.

For what its worth i dont think the Dutch will throw their game against Romania. Why would they want to hault their own momentum like that? They wont want to go in to a Quarter Final on the back of a loss. And as has been pointed out the back-up players will want to impress.

Also i fail to see how they will be focused on knocking out Italy and France so as to avoid them in the knock-outs when they just pasted both of them.

Confidence is sky high for them. And they will want to keep the momentum going.

No, particuarly at club level, Ronaldo plays too centrally to be considered a winger nowdays, often he is more of a striker nowdays IMO.

He was only really played as a striker during the champions league, in most of his matches he plays on the wing even if it is a little more central than other wingers.
