This is the response from someone that is living in 1997. Tallis is a much improved talker and has cut out the "ummmmmm" and "you knows"

I agree, Tallis isn't awful and is constantly improving. He probably is getting actual media training unlike 99% of the channel 9 football presenters. His problem is he isn't a goose getting cheap laughs for being a moron like Johns/Fittler

they have kept him there for so long now and they may as well keep him. it's always been the format and even though fatty is woeful as a host it's not his fault the bosses at channel 9 choose to keep the same crap going.
if any heads should go it should be the producers and bosses who decide what happens on the show
