1. Hayne
2. Reddy
3. Smith
4. Inu
5. Grothe
6. Finch
7. Keating

That's gotta be the plan going forward.....surely.

We saw again tonight the DEFENSIVE risk with Burt at fullback. Missing that bomb was a tad rookie, even if it was a good kick.
That would be the way i would go as well.

seriously......chillax guys, give Hayne a few more weeks, if not months, to settle into such a specialised position ok

he has shown glimpses of form mthere so far, just give him time ok....

in terms of ball-playing - he just has to learn how to know - 'when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em' (as well as....know when to walk away and know when to run)......

Would love to see Burt at 5/8. Don't know why this isn't even considered. As for the Finch haters, give him a break. He's not as flamboyant as a Scott Prince or Johno Thurston but he busts his arse off everyweek. Tonight he was the first man in defense majority of the time and when he gets someone next to him who can play a 5/6 role, I'm sure the pressure will be off and he'll shine for sure.

Anyway, we won didn't we. Souths were supposed to put up 30 points on us tonight.

Nearly Everyone wants Finch in the team but not as the main playmaker.

We need to build pressure in the opposition half and he can't do that.

Everything else was great with Finch today except his playmaking and kicking. I would give him a 5. All the other stuff off the ball, he was an 8.

On Hayne, he made TWO BIG PLAYS.

One ankle tap.

One faking injury. We were at sixes and sevens and his injury let us regather.

He is a smart player but a little ungentlemanly.

I think we will have defensive problems with Burt at 6. He would be Mr Spot as Tim Smith was.

lol Hayne has had two games at 5/8.

And people wanted Burt at FB lol, i was embarresed to be a Parra supporter when he dropped that bomb, amauter stuff, but hey after 10 years of burt playing like sh*t we have beco9me accustomed to it, no wonder you never see any other club throw money at him

Ah,i was waiting for that comment to come up,just got home did ya RJ..Burt played ok tonight, finch gave his all and the eels look good and i am sure will only get better.
I think they have finally got a good backrower in joe g to compliment hindy and mateo.Ill reserve my judgment on hayne for now, however i to would like to see kk in the run on side in 6 or 7.

Seriously.... he needs time to get aquainted with this posi. I'd give him 8 weeks in total to show what he can do then change the team around

Mate I think the point a lot of us are making is that... why should we give him time to learn a position??

It happened last year where he played centre for the first half of the year, and each week the catch cry was that 'more time was needed'

If the guy is a natural fullback then leave him there, how many more matches can we waste with this settling in phase?

Epic Fail

He's totally lost at 5/8, very poor hands and goes to ground with the ball more than Wags did at 5/8

We are very fortunate he was on the bench fro Reddy's try as he would not have made that pass that KK did

Just a thought, maybe Ando is starting to realise how well KK actually goes and he also has a good kicking game in him.

If he can't catch a ball at 5/8... why should he be able to do it at fullback/wing/centre?
Seriously if he was playing with all the fundamentals of footy in place then I'd be more inclined to move him, but when he can't catch a ball or puts it down then that is just bad play no matter where U R on the field.

i don't think he's going that bad .... and his defense is solid which is important in the front line

but i've seen nothing to make me believe our outside backs will receive any decent ball, even IF he settles in at 5/8 - he has a poor passing game - possibly cos passing is one of the last things in his head, so its forced

I would give Hayne another 2 weeks before making a decision, he's only had 2 games & 1 trial match to get used to the role. It's a bit early to write him off yet.

I think he should be at fullback fullstop, but how hard is his job at 6 when your halves partner is Brett Finch. Maybe KK to 7 and Finch to 14???????

Hayne was poor last night and appeared completely lost out there, mind you he played like that all last season in any position.
I suppose results will determine how long Hayne will stay in the 6. If the team is winning then it's worth giving him time to adjust.
