Was'nt he going to France?Signed Super Simmons yet?
Newcastle, france, lebanon, don't really care.
As Long as it ain't the sharks
That's if he doesn't chuck a sonnyI'd love some Pritchard... Him and Patto down that left flank one of them centre one of them 2nd row could be damaging...
to be fair.. mad dog was pretty woeful for the first 6 - 8 rounds.. and not on the field very often during the middle of the year either.
doogs defense was diabolical early in the season. that side of the field was leaking a great deal of points.Completely disagree about his early form this year. I think he had one sub-par game in that period. Nearly everyone was knocking him but I believe it was just a follow on of a perception from last year. He would make one mistake and people would jump on it, ignoring the fact that he might have made a series of incisive runs, a number of off-loads and some important one-on-one tackles. He was doing those things in nearly all the early rounds. I maintained at the time that he was going exeptionally well and if you look at the stats from those games he was outstanding in almost every facet.
Have the Cowboys sewn-up Ben Harris yet?
If not, he would be a quality asset.
He is garbage... Sau and McManus craps on him... In 04 or whatever was a great prospect then lost all his abillity... Decent centre at best not worth throwing money at...
He re-signed with the Cowboys.

i was at both the games you mention at this post, and i watched doogs f**k up plenty from the comfort of my living room, so there was plenty more wrong with his defense than those two instances.Sorry, Perverse, I just don't believe that's true. It is a fact that he was largely responsible for the two late tries Canberra scored in round one--being guilty of ball watching, straying in and leaving Vuna stranded a la last year. (He was great in attack in that game though btw, and foreshadowed his good season with a break in the first set of the season.) Other than that Doogs wasn't very good under kicks in our first game against the Roosters--although I believe he played injured for most of that game. Those instances aside his defence was outstanding even in the early part of the season. Hardly missed a tackle and made some great one-on-one hits that stifled opposition movements and got us quite a few vital turnovers as well.

believe what you like, but he was making some shocking reads early on. doogs himself put his hand up and has addressed it. he's going gangbusters now and i'm glad he's still at the club. i'd even keep him for next year tbh.. especially if this "established centre" doesn't end up making his way to newcastle.
yep, that's fair enough. i was on doogs case for a lot longer than that.Well, I guess we're in agreement that his defence wasn't flash in those two games and he hardly played any other games for the first couple of months. My point would be that people were still knocking him until about 6 weeks ago and I feel he's been terrific and very consistent from about round 12 onwards.
