Next year I would do this.

Make it a double double header.

Friday local-

USA v Canada Test

World Club Challenge (NRL team gets a bye week for rd 1)

Saturday local-

Double header NRL

Cost would be huge, Certainly something to look at in the future

The 49ers built a new stadium about a decade ago.

60km from the old stadium in San Francisco in the middle of nowhere. They have nothing open to the public on non game days since it's not worth the trip.

Not exactly the model to be following.
No idea on the logistics of US stadiums. I was just referring to the idea that investment in stadiums is a good thing. In our case the location would have been ideal, I wouldn't advocate for a new stadium being built for us at Wilberforce.

They'll have a toilet break and wont return

Nah PNG is the go.
Joe Biden is onboard.
Biden's very knowledgeable about Rugby league and talks articulately about the intricacies of the sport.
Quoted: ' the Ipswich Jets will be key in the strategic defence of Ukraine "

60 billion dollar bill introduced for the Ipswich Jets...

@The Great Dane is right, the worse thing the NRL could do is try to rapidly expand the event and run the risk of either increasing costs or splitting crowds.

Whilst it would be great to see the WCC or the USA v Canada game at Allegiant Stadium, remember the cost to hire the venue is around AUD1million a day, so adding a second day of matches is expensive. Putting the Test as a curtain raiser might work, and maybe Fox Sports US might pick up the feed and show on their secondary channels or OTT service, though I don't know if it's worth it for year 2, I'd suggest it would make more sense as a Year 3 or 4 aim.

If I was the NRL, I'd keep it as just a double header and be aiming to get it on sale as quickly as possible and see if with an 11 month build up if it's easier to move tickets. The last thing they want is to sell worse than this year, because we know the media will rip the concept to shreds just as quickly as they were to praise it's success this year.

The big question is: what happens now?

The LV double header was great but I feel the follow up work is the real hard grind and most important aspect of getting the US eyes on screen that taking games to LV was all about.

I'm aware that games will be televised or streamed into the US but is there more?

The venture will come nothing more than a pilgrimage to Vegas for Australian fans if the NRL sits on its backside now. Get the game's history, good news stories out there.
I would be looking for US Brand sponsors as a starting point.

Part of it was that the City of San Francisco wouldn't put up a lot of money and could not agree with the 49ers on its proposal to redevelop Candlestick Point. Thus selling Candlestick Point was how the 49ers were financing its contribution, whilst the city of San Jose was willing to stump up quite a bit of money to get the stadium which is why the 49ers moved.

On a side note, the owners of the 49ers was quoted as saying even now, 10 years after its construction, Levi Stadium is "out of date" amenities wise.

If anything I would suggest this event might kill the WCC going forward (for at least whilst its in Vegas anyway).

Lets be honest if the clubs and players have an option of going to Northern England in February or Vegas, what option are they going to take.

You can already see if any club selected for this event, wins the GF, they will likely sit out the WCC.

Year 2 and 3 are the real barometer for this event.

We can't care about both? Can't you walk and chew gum at the same time, fella?

As for no one confident crying over words, you're wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong. Don't even reply to argue your case. You're wrong.
Sure you can. I do. I also don't cry about a *word, much less get outraged - that would be pathetic.

Edit - Alleged word
