Americans don’t know the difference between a good and a bad player

he’s spoken very well too
Don’t underestimate the importance of having someone Americans can actually understand. Reece Walsh might be photogenic but he’d need an interpreter.

This isn't a piss take but Luai is who should have been sent. Acts the most like a US athlete

Why would they send a player over to promote an event he wouldn't even be participating in? Sorry, it makes little sense. Regardless of whether he would have a more relatable attitude to many in the US, he would still be as unknown as just about evcery other NRL player to people in the US. It would look even sillier, in US eyes, if he was sent and then they realised he would not even be playing. The 4 who were sent will (barring injury) be playing.

“The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has paid the NRL an undisclosed amount for a five-year deal for the NRL to open its season here.”

if this is a sucess this will only go up after five years

together with increased viewers on the nrl app and a gaming deal it’s going to be lucrative

I don't know how many people watch CBS news, but I'd guess more people saw this than watch SOO....does that make Aaron Woods the world's most famous league player :D :D

And for all the sooks complaing that Americans are calling Rugby Leage "Rugby" you'll be glad to see Woods corrects them lol

It just keeps getting better!!!
