So Ivan back to panthers for a what, 5 year deal is it? Gus’ 5 year plan restarts.....now! Also over the moon with the Maguire signing. Just what the tigers need. A no nonsense straight edge coach who I rate very highly. Well done Pasco et al.

So what coaches are left on the market for 2019 and 2020?

Barrett, Taylor, Toovey, ??

Looking at the Eels, Brad Arthur is likely going to be moved on at the end of 2019, if not earlier. The best qualified coaches are off the market now.

2 years... 5 years. There's no difference if you can afford to pay them out. A coach is easily sacked.

Players on 5 year deals are a bigger risk. Youre stuck with them on that money or paying for them to play elsewhere out of your cap. Unless they choose to leave

Yes Fergy won a title in his last season and that is what history will remember.
But that year the competition were all out of sorts, that side had no business winning a PL title.
Plus Moyes was Fergys appointment, hence the title ‘the chosen one’.

It was a clever move from 'Fergie'- recommend a coach who isn't going to make it look like any coach could've achieved with his roster. Similar to Bennett recommending Henjack at the Broncos when he left the first time...

I can only imagine the dialogue at "The Stonecutters" meeting that got this all sorted..

"We do........ We do...."

Yep, but this time the plan starts with a great squad of locally developed players just hitting their potential.

Like the last 3 years.

Cleary (take your pick) will be out in 3. Gus is all wind and bullshit mate. Gutless old shit who knows how to fix everything, critisises everyone who tries but never accepts the opportunity of actually fixing it himself.

He used to be all over it, now he's like Rabs. Just a rambling old fool who confuses being rammed down people's throat for actual respect and prominence.

Flanno is off contract after 2019. This situation will raise his stocks higher. Big pay day coming for him no matter which club it's at.

The word is Gus will be out in 3. Replaced with Ivan. Gould has had sweet F.A. to do with negotiations.

Riff needed a strong hard coach who can handle a bunch of talented kids and could handle Gus the fatman. In Cleary they got neither, and the father son thing in a football club is a recipe for disaster.

I just pray for karma because both Riff and Cleary have shown themselves to be low acts

With the new football cap coming in it won’t be so easy in the future
