unforgiven

Yes, it’s a little to coincidental that Marshall pushed Farah’s case in the first place. Like I said, old habits die hard.

Then the response from the board was “we back the coach”. A few weeks later he is talking to Gould and co. and Farah is signed for 2019...

Join the dots..

EDIT - don’t forget Cleary benches Farah as well during games at the very backend of the season to bring Liddle on.
Or maybe Marshall knew the Tigers needed a hooker, at the time they were actually playing without one and he knew of a hooker playing reserve grade who may have been of assistance to the team. Guess what? He was a great asset to the team when he returned.

You are letting your hatred of Farah get in the way.

Omg

Centre of most drama at the club over the last few years he was there

Sub-standard results - which other club would accept the mediocrity?

Sooked about being dropped to ISP (at two clubs)

Will be 35 years old when the 2019 season starts

Should I go on?

the myopic view of of some of your fellow supporters must be disturbing. a shame the club has the same view as them.

fair enough, he filled a hole for a quarter of the season, but all those reasons you listed is reason enough not to bring him back into the den again....yet they've signed him on for another season!

did Alex Ferguson ever try to bring back Beckham to Man United? You don't ever go back to bad shit, no matter how good a player or nostalgic it may have been on-field for the club.

and Tigers will probably have a new coach. No one but probably Bennett will want to walk into that head coach role, and Wayne will do it just to stay in the game. No other head coach with desires to have a lengthy career as a manager will go near the joint given how the inmates have run the asylum in recent past and the instigator of it all is back in the joint. Has Farah been humbled through his experience over the last couple of seasons? Maybe. But to modify a well-worn phrase, a tiger doesn't change it's stripes.

Good days for Wests Tigers seem a fair way off.

For those who like a laugh Lyall Gorman has confirmed with a poster over at the main Manly forum that Trent Barrett was convinced he had the Penrith job when he handed his notice in at Manly but hadn't signed anything yet.

So far Trent Barrett has released Blake Green for an unsigned Mitchell Pearce and Released himself for an unsigned Penrith job.

Brain Genius.

Des is cooked and with a few bad seasons he could kill off Manly for good! Not that there’s anything wrong with that....

Des would be great for Manly, yeah he f*#ked things up massively at the Dogs but the guy can coach. Clubs like Manly need one of their own in charge, the fans will love it and buy back into the club.

If he can keep the squad he has (who knows what will happen with the salary cap) they'll be right in the mix for the 8

Des was just a plant to take down the Dogs. They're looking a LOT worse than Manly for 2019. Tooves was just supposed to keep his fold-up chair warm but things fell apart before Des could get back and we ended up with Barrett.

Things Des has done that Twenty hasn't;

Won a Premiership as a player
Won a Premiership as a coach
Sign contract with prospective club before f**king current club over

As he spends the next six months whittling some additional lawn chairs for the club perhaps Zoolander can take some lessons in from Des.

God I loathe Des, and he's probably past it, but it's a million times better than every other option outside of Madge.

The current Manly side is capable of a lot more than what they’ve delivered and let’s be honest, Des Hasler can coach.

Obviously he’d have a hard time figuring out who to drop for superstar ginger Brad Parker but other than that, he can’t f**k the club up any more than it is now

There crazy if Brisbane goes with Walters, bloke was a flustered mess when the going got tough this past origin series and his past head coaching record was shit.

Haha, Warren Smith said mere weeks ago "Surely Des Hasler will never coach again!"

To which my response was "Are you f**ked in the head, Warren?"

Is Cristiano Ronaldo playing reserve grade for The Tigers?

he ended up leaving, and they moved on beyond both players, and they still won titles.

granted, it's not a good club-club comparison. my point is more about management. ferguson is revered as being one of the greatest managers in any sport. he left a winner and the club in great shape. the club's demise was immediate after his retirement. for all the stories about beckham returning, it would never happen under Ferguson's watch. club is greater than the players.

going back to the past isn't going to benefit Wests in the medium to long-term

Walters is so shit I actually enjoy his dumbf**kness on TV.

Him at Brisbane would be good value.

Excellent value actually.
