dunno, we’ve improved stocks in some areas (fullback, wing) and remained par for the course in others. They key is if we can remain a bit healthier in 2018. We had an injury ridden 2018 that gets over looked by everyone when they review NQ’s efforts.

A lot of it hinges on Barba and your halves. The 1, 6, 7 and 9 need to gel in a hurry early on, and we haven't seen anything yet to suggest that Morgan and Martin in particular can be a decent pairing, or that Granville can find his old form. That, and can Barba translate his Super League form into NRL form again.

McGuire will be at least consistent, especially being back in the Props, so your forward pack will be formidable. It's just all about whether Green can get that spine working well enough to offset the big weaknesses in the backline.

i don’t think the halves pairing will be TMM and Morgan, Jake Clifford was coming along nicely in the last few rd’s and I reckon if he has a decent pre-season he will be given priority but TMM is still no slouch. He and Morgan did take us to the GF in ‘17 so i wouldn’t exactly be saying they can’t be a decent pairing.

Granville is the elephant in the room (along with Hess). Granville has gone backwards deluxe and Hess is not a starting player as of yet (needs to come in off the bench and let asiata start). Asiata can hit the ball up as well as Hess but has a beautiful pass on him that Hess can only dream of.

So Bennett had input into Souths pre-season camp for 2019? The greedy old f**k needs to just bite the bullet and move on. Surely if the article is true, then that is enough grounds for Brisbane to sack him immediately? His position at Brisbane is untenable as it stands.

Good on Bennett for standing his ground. He has ALWAYS said he wanted to be there for 2019 and he is staying put.

He had talks with the Tigers and both the Tigers and Bennett have said that the only sticking point is that the Tigers wanted/needed him for 2019 and that he couldnt do that. Tigers went a different way with Madge as a result.

Souffs sign him for 2020 but want him now anyway ( The Gus maneouvre) and he sticks his dig.

Its nice to see someone mean what they say. Rare.
