Falcons are in a last ditch attempt to once again avoid relegation. Each week I've got 4 players in my divisions Dream Team but my form of the midfield is completely destroying me. I can't wait til the off season to fix everything up!

Otherwise I won 1-2 today. My first win about 5 weeks

I lost 4-0 to the guys coming second in my div.

Can't understand it, my confidence was wonderful, my team spirit was paradise on earth, i played match of the season and I still got caned!

Never mind, I'm still 3 points clear of the side coming second and two points above the line for promotion.

Anyone in need of a friendly for tommorrow?

I should have known Ernesto would not accept #-o
Amigo, ernesto usually doesn't accept friendlies till Wednesday morning....don't ask me why, something to do with net access but don't give up just yet!

Thankfully the game did get played. I was worried about my game also, I challenged a couple of other teams yesterday afternoon to ensure that I didn't lose training, but Avalon came on and accepted before any of the others did.

Avalon and Ernesto do make it quite stressful for the other team as they don't log on until very very late, and I believe they've both given away a couple of walkovers over the last couple of LU Cups (they've both had one this season). For that reaston I'm thinking they might not be included next time.

The table and fixture list have been updated in the stickied thread. Only three more rounds remaining.

Agreed but they have only both missed 1 match this LU cup.....the more the merrier I say but they do need to try and accept before Tuesday arvo at the latest!

Whats the difference between Team Spirit and Team Confidence?

I've got;
Team Spirit: irritated
Confidence: wonderful

Team Spirit (TS) effects your midfield. A high TS will mean your midfield will be higher than normal, and a low TS will see your midfield lower. PIC (Play it cool) will raise your TS after the match, wheras MOTS (Match of the Season) basically halves it.

Confidence effects your chances of converting chances. I don't think it actually raises your ratings, but having high confidence will make you more likely to score goals. Scoring goals raises your confidence, and having Sport Psychologists also helps.

hey guys, just wonering. what would happen if you mots'd the last game of the season. obviously its the end of the season, and to me, wouldnt matter. except maybe effect how the troops play in friendlies.

anyone elses thoughts would be great, i was just thinking about it, i'd be able to see the best my players are capable of at the moment, and i could rack up a real scoreline! not that i need to.

drew 3-3 today against the best side in my division using my match of the season. we were down 3-1 not long after half time, but fought back well. we face a bot side next week. we'll win that for sure. so we have effectively wrapped up 3rd, although mathematically it's not ours just yet.

i've also noticed when talking about my side i refer us the word 'we' and instead of 'i'. have i become a bit too attached to my players???

well, i sold my first trainee today. got $960,000 for a formidable playmaker with wretched passing. i'm hoping to sell another in 2 weeks time, but this time i hope i can crack the $1 million mark, which should be that bigger problem cause this guy has poor passing!

i've got $1.2 million in the bank now, so I'm going to look at making the first of my 2 planned off season signings (yes, i know, it's not the off season yet). i'm hoping to sign an excellent defender and an outstanding scorer.

I just bought an excellent defender. He has disastorous experience, but because he's only 20 there is plenty of time to get that up. Awesome. Now I've got to work my cash up and over $2 million so I can purchase that outstanding striker. The sale of Timo Stickel should help out with that. I also have six Oceanians now. Which is good because a few weeks ago I only had one, although I think I might have to sell one. I'm also saving some money now, not having to spend an extra 20% on wages for these players.

Bring on next season I say

That might be enough to buy you an excellent defender with some reasonablke secondaries. I paid $2.4m for an outstanding scorer earlier this season and you'll have to save for a while. The average is probably closer to $3.0m. You might pick up someone cheaper if you're prepared to put a nasty older player in your squad.
