I'm up 1-0 at this stage and all match events have been relating to my team. Nearly half time.

I won 7-0. But I played a bot team. Hopefully I can even win my next game, against a div 5 team. They seem to have the defenders, but hopefully my midfield is just too fit for his and gives me heaps of chances to get some goals.

Check it out and give me your opinion. I will PIC the league game ahead of time as well (I PIC'ed the Cup game, so 7-0 with 4 missed chances is not too bad)

By the way is anybody selling a real cheap and nasty goalkeeper? Currently my number one choice keeper has goaltending skills of "poor", so I need to improve in that area ASAP.

Azkatro. If you are looking for a goalkeeper thats passable, its better to get one that has some experience if you are not going to train him. Someone who has say poor-passable experience. That way you won't get so many unexperienced errors. Their heaps of those available to buy at the same price you bid.

Ok my 2nd game is against an easy side and my 3rd is against the team who will be battling me for top spot fo sho.

Should I "play it cool" in the 2nd game? I played them in the last game of the season and won 3-1, and the week before I did match of season so I should still beat them playing it cool shouldn't I?
You've got to work out whether you are good enough to win if you do PIC. It will drop your midfield a bit, and if you are playing that game away from home that also drops your midfield. So, depending on how much better you are than them, it might be a bit risky. However, it will improve your team spirit (especially as you have a coach with solid leadership) which will improve your chances in the third match. It's a delicate balancing act, but one that you will increasingly experience as you move up the levels.

Damn Out of everyone here I think I've drawn the hardest team in round 2 of the cup.

They are called Bayliss and have an U20 international for Oceania.
Just to make you feel even better, Bayliss is the strong favourite to become the U20 Oceanian manager in a few days. I have to agree with nibbs, just accept the defeat. Use this game to PIC and improve your team spirit for your league games.

I won my cup match 7-0, although I was a bit worried when I was only winning 1-0 after 34 minutes. Next up I face quite a good Div VI side, he got a poor (very low) midfield rating in his first cup match. He'll be playing at home against me, so it might be even higher. I'll own him in the defence and attack, but midfield is still the most important part of the game engine. Not completely sure how I'm going to approach it yet, if I play 4-4-2 I'm almost certain to win but I would prefer not to drop a trainee. Decisions, decisions... :-k

If I PIC I'll lose by 10 goals or more for sure. Do cup games affect confidence?
They do, but whatever you do you will probably lose significantly. If you have good stamina you might be able to Press and try to limit the amount of goals he scores.

Or perhaps I'm overestimating Bayliss, check out his team and see just how much better he is than you. The bigger the difference, the less you playing PIC will effect the scoreline.

Is the week after playing match of season exactly the same as PIC?
PIC effectively increases your team spirit by between 1.5 and 2 levels, while MOTS halves it. The following table shows the levels of team spirit, which effects your midfield rating:

Paradise on Earth 11
walking on clouds 10
Delirious 9
satisfied 8
content 7
calm 6
composed 5
irritated 4
furious 3
murderous 2
like the cold War 1

So you start at composed (5), and PIC will slowly see your team spirit rise while MOTS will see it drop significantly. Whenever your team spirit is higher or lower than the base level of composed, it will slowly go back to that level. The further away it is, the faster the fall or rise (so the fall from 'walking on clouds' will happen faster than from 'content'. The leadership of your coach also helps keep it at high levels or rise faster from low levels.

i won 5-0 away to a bot team. i play a div 5 team who gets more stars than me, but has similar ratings. so i hope i can use a home crowd to my advantage. hopefully if i win my leauge game this weekend that will also help draw a bigger crowd. i need some more money desperately.
anyways i dont think i can win that game, but i could be a shock winner in the cup.
stay tuned, and have fun everyone!

haha, i'm hoping to make a lot of cash this week. two homes sellout home games will see me up to make $300,000 at least, which will come in really handy. I'm now in the process of preparing to buy a new coach. I just want to get the money up a tad higher first.
