You think an entire group of businessmen woke up one morning and said to each other "Hey, let's invest billions in a sh*tty English football team for a laugh!"?

You are taking the piss, surely. Rich people don't get there by wasting money, they want to make money on everything, even if it's a drop in the ocean to them. Don't be so naive as to think they are in this for fun.
.

Tell me, please, how can they expect to make money?

Are they treating this like an investment, buying in and trying to grow from your starting point?

NO.

They are spending far more than they could hope to recoup in 20 years of winning the Treble.

You are just a douche.

At least i can see that it is not supposed to be some long term money making scheme, its just a play thing for this company to show off.

Yeah and like most play things if it's not netting silverware and becoming the new Chelsea then it becomes boring and they'll move on and City will be back to where they started, f**ken nowhere.

You're f**king deluded mate, dead set. Businessmen don't buy billion pound toys, and if they did, you've just admitted your club is a toy to a rich businessman, how hollow does that feel?

Oh, btw, rumours in the British press say the takeover deal has hit snags and may not go through. Apparently you only put a 3M down-payment on Robinho and Madrid took it because they couldn't keep him on the roster after the Chelsea debacle. Robinho might be playing for the Bank of England soon .

Actually, they do.

When you've that much money, you buy things for the status and publicity.

They arent expecting to make money, in the same way Roman isnt expecting to make money at Chelsea - despite talk you hear about wanting to break even...

That's why he put them in debt to him? That's why he stopped funding José's expensive transfers? That's why he refused to match the City offer for Robinho?

He isn't playing with them anymore.

Keane has played against United more than any other club in his career, never scored against us.

Kuyt: 0.217 goals per game in the League.

Rio and Vida... be afraid...

Even when Tevez scored early, I wasn't worried. I was strongly confident that Liverpool would equalize, and with the amount of shots we took on goal I knew it'd have to crack sooner or later (an own-goal, mind you). That was really the turning point, from there Liverpool looked alot more coherent and organised than ManUre, could quite easily have scored another one to make it 3. Scary thing is Torres didn't even play...

Man U were pretty poor from the Wes Brown own-goal onwards. Van der Sar had an unusually shaky game, never looked confident at all.

I fell asleep 5 minutes after half time and woke up just before Vidic got sent off so that's why I disappeared on the night.

But if you're calling me a chicken sh*t for dodging this forum until today then yeah, I look like a bit of a tit after the result.

Van Der Sar and Giggs have alot to answer for. f**king disgraceful goalkeeping and Giggs should have done better for the Babel goal.
