For me it was like a bad episode of Scooby Doo with some celebrity cameos that were pretty cringe. Unlike most of his other 'quests' it added essentially nothing to the show.
I was waiting for Christopher Lloyd to say “and I would of gotten away with it too if it was for you rotten bounty hunters”

It was pure garbage just like the rest of the season, the writing has absolutely fallen off a cliff. It was never the shows strong point but this is just pure poo. This is the Disney way.

As someone who didn't watch the cartoons I'm struggling to follow certain lore points and Ahsoka looks to be worse.

I tried to watch the Clone Wars and at the end of the day it's a kids show. I'm sure there's some good stuff but the presentation and dialogue is for ten year olds.

It seems that the Filoni verse is having the same problems the CW superhero shows had. One good team of writers who get moved to the next show launching and the existing ones fall off a cliff.

That said, good to see Pellaeon on screen. I was massively into the Bantam novels as a kid and the original Thrawn trilogy was the best of them.

Last night's episode was good at least.

Clone Wars and Rebels are the best Star Wars content there is imo. I don't really think the dialogue is for 10 year olds at all but each to their own. I can definitely understand the criticism of the anthology format though.

You can pretty easily find the 'Ahsoka episodes' of Clone Wars with some googling if you just want to watch those. I'd watch the Maul episodes too, then Rebels - for the Ahsoka experience. Thrawn is awesome in Rebels by the way.

Yeah that last season of Clone wars where it slipped in between the parts in Revenge of the Sith were awesome. I did enjoy Rebels for the most part and Thrawn was easily the
Best part of the show.

We must be due a decent episode.

Apparently S4 is happening but that had very big series finale vibes.

They announced at Star Wars celebration that there will be a movie which will combine the shows set during this time period, Mandalorian, Boba Fett, Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew (new show coming out).
Not sure if it will be an ending as such but it could be amazing.
Directed by Fave Filoni who created the Clone Wars and Rebels animated shows, has directed a few episodes of Mando and is show runner of Ahsoka.

Enjoyed the first 2 episodes of Ahsoka… really looking forward to see how it plays out.

But I kinda get the feeling if you aren’t familiar with Star Wars Rebel’s it probably won’t hit the same.

Thought it was pretty mid, not bad but just solid. Don’t think it’s the hit they are hoping. Did like Ray Stevenson’s character and his apprentice.

RIP Ray.

For mine with Ahsoka its a bit too much talking about why things have happened instead of showing them. That's why its pace seems so languid for mine. Also by doing it by talking about it, it does not give you an understanding of some of the character's motivations (e.g. the cause of the friction between Sabine and Ahsoka) which results in you not quite caring as much about them.

Having a video game puzzle of turn the levers to reveal the sphere which is another video game puzzle of match the pattern was an interesting choice for a TV show.

My thoughts
- Dave Filoni isn't a great director, see the post above mine - you can't waste that much time in an episode on that sort of thing. There were a lot of pointless silences and dialogue delivery that was off, that wasn't a problem in the second episode.
- Enough of the lightsaber stabs not being life-threatening
- Ray's character seemed out of place at first, but that's just because I'll always see him as Pullo. He grew on me. I think him and his apprentice have a lot of potential, although her character was the main culprit for awkward dumb silences in episode 1
- If you haven't seen Rebels you're not going to care about this show
- Hera is a hard character to replicate, her voice actress in Rebels had that perfect sultry voice.
- I'm okay with Sabine being Ahsoka's padawan as long as it keeps her not force-sensitive, which they seem to be doing. It's not a giant leap in that case given she was trained with the Dark Saber.

and, perhaps the most important point for me

- Ahsoka in live action sucks. I was concerned about it after Mando and Boba Fett and the first two episodes of this hasn't helped alleviate those concerns. She's one of my favourite SW characters but there is no reason you would care or be interested in her character if you hadn't seen Clone Wars or Rebels. It's not the actress's fault - they seem to be going for this wise, mature, stoic Jedi which just isn't Ahsoka. She is completely devoid of her personality that made her so popular; she had strong emotions and a bit of sass and snark but now she is pretty much emotionless and uninteresting. Very disappointing. Maybe she's just another difficult character to replicate in live action. Unfortunately though I think it's Filoni's vision for her that is the problem.

Ahsoka rocks.

The disillusioned grey is gone, the optimistic white is here.

Let's find Ezra.

Episode 5 was good. Hopefully Ahsoka stops talking like an emotionless robot now?

Star Wars is Ded, it’s just a bunch of key jangling with some member berries thrown in. It was good to see Anakin back and the little girl did a much better job of Ashoka than what we’d seen so far but as soon as we left the world between worlds is was just more dumb shit. It’s horribly written with cringey dialogue.

Watched the last few episodes…

im enjoying it as a sequel to Rebels… but it’s really a lot of fan service.

I could see why people wouldn’t like it.

Zero reason to care about it if you haven't seen Rebels. Well, maybe except for Baylan. RIP Ray.

Love that Thrawns voice actor is playing him though. Thrawn was so good in Rebels.
