If Matt Peterson is not your five-eighth after todays match, Brian Smith has f**king rocks in his head.

The kid has a natural fitting to the play making role.

Play him there.

you guys get too excited over little things

i cant wait to see your reactions after our loss to the tigers in round 1, you'll find some way to blame him for the loss like most of the people on this forum do :!:

I'm not about to get carried away but it sounds like Peto had a great game. Could he be the player to take the no 14 jumper? A bit of confidence goes a long way BUT realistically I'd like to see him on his wing playing somehwere near where he did today....

On the mark there Colonel. Just getting a little carried away. Yes he did play well. But yes keep him on the wing. Good to know though he can hold his own againgst the best if needed. Mind you the Aussies were well and truley of their game. But Petersen can hold his head high. Great effort under the circumstances.

I know you can't read too much into 1 game and Australia were not at their best but still.

Regardless of who your playing a 40/20 is still a 40/20 (although Sing did save it) a pint point cross field bomb is still a pint point cross field bomb etc.

May not be 1st choice but his performance cannot be discounted.

Well he at very least is a better 5/8 then Wagon

And before the anthems, Hindmarsh was having a chuckel or two with Kimmorley.

Kimmorley to Parra? GameFirst was right!

Seriously though - obviously the main reason he was played at halfback was because he was a senior player with NRL experience, and his leadership would come in handy.

But add to that his spirit and talent and he deserves all the wraps he gets.

Well done mate.

It's quite an interesting battle.

The battle of two unnatural halfbacks.

But from what I saw, Petersen could clearly be moulded into a better half than Witt.

He's talkative, he's got spirit, he likes to run with the ball and he's got the game as well.

He was so pumped. It was great to see. Its amazing what Johhny Cartright can do with a bunch of presumed nobodies. He would be my first change, then Shane Richardson to CEO. Iam Dreaming again #-o

Bit disappointed with Hindy during the anthem. A lot of players lacked the pride they should be playing with. Each game in that jersey should be played with their full potential.
