Mark Hunt made weight thankfully...

Werdum decided to be cheeky and offer him an oxygen mask at the face off... Hunto wasn't impressed and threw it on the floor.

WAAAAAR HUNTO!!!!

I think people are underestimating Werdum's stand up, Hunt has that scary power but Werdum has shown awesome improvement lately in his stand up, he can kick at will because he knows no one will try take him down, and he's technically very good these days. As for Hunt's take down defence, Big foot , JDS and Struve were all able to get him down, Struve and Big foot were able to mount him, JDS went for one take down the entire fight and was able to get into side control, if Werdum can get full mount or even side control it's a wrap

You seem to have a very different memory of those fights than I do...

Bigfoot wasn't able to get him down... Hunt actually took Bigfoot down...

JDS couldn't get him down.,. And Struve didn't even attempt to get him down.

As for Werdums stand up.... It's improved... And a hell of a lot... But Hunt is on a whole different level... It's laughable to compare the 2.

Can you believe I'm gonna f**king miss this fight!! A death in my family means I'm on the road for the next 5 hours!!!

Enjoy the fight boys!!!

I think Werdum's stand up is pretty good wouldn't you say?
As for the 3 other fights I'd suggest you re watch them, Struve and Big foot both had full mount on Hunt and JDS got him down at the end of round 2

Don't get me wrong... Werdum's stand up is much improved...

But he's not on Hunts all round level... What I'm basically getting at is that if you put them in a K1 fight... Hunt would decimate him.

I've pretty much come out of the bush from a funeral so I haven't seen it... I heard the result though... Will have to watch the fight when I get back home 2moro.

Shattered though when I found out...

Such a shame. I thought Hunt was really dominating and looked completely comfortable in avoiding take downs and throwing some absolute bombs. As Rogan said, he was controlling the tempo.

Perhaps he got too comfortable and just left himself open for that explosion from Werdum.

I hear that Labour won the Victorian state elections tonight...

So that means they are going to lift the ban on cages in that state.

So the UFC have promised a PPV mega show at Etihad with possibly 2 title fights.

It took you awhile.... But well done Victorians

Now all we need is f**king NYC to do the same...

Looks like there is still some politics within the UFC around that one to go

?We have two championships on one card and we?ve had three double championships in Toronto, so it?s a possibility and it wouldn?t surprise me,? Wright said.
He has guaranteed the event will be splashed globally via pay-per-view for the first time since 2011 in Sydney.
?If we were to have a pay-per-view, we would have a championship bout on it,? Wright said.

Big difference between getting guys to fight in Toronto and getting them to fight in Australia. I believe they'll do a title fight for a PPV as it is a big deal but I can't see them getting two champs to agree to do it in Aus. Or they'll just do a fight night and continue to milk Australia dry.

The one thing Australia and NZ have going for us is the fact we can actually do PPV's.

In Europe and Asia they can't do huge fights because they fall in the middle of the night in the USA. So they miss out on those lucrative North American PPV buys.

We can put the fights on Sunday afternoon our time which falls perfectly on to Saturday night prime time.

And the fighters seem to really enjoy being able to fight in the afternoon...

While I agree that there wouldn't be much incentive for the UFC to bring a massive PPV event down here as they already do REALLY well with the FN cards,..

You know what the UFC is like... They don't like to lose face over things like this.

Love lawler! But Thought Hendricks laid and prayed enough to win it. Glad to see Lawler get it though. That stare down at the end though was intense
